The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us carrying Umamah bint Abi Al-'As bin Ar-Rabi', whose mother was Zainab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She was a little girl and he was carrying her. 97. It is sunnah to pray in shoes Chapter: Praying In Sandals

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri [‫رضى الله عنه‬] While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was leading his Companions in prayer, he took off his sandals and laid them on his left side; so when the people saw this, they removed their sandals. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) finished his prayer, he asked: What made you remove your sandals? The replied: We saw you remove your sandals, so we removed our sandals.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then said: Gabriel came to me and informed me that there was filth in them. When any of you comes to the mosque, he should see; if he finds filth on his sandals, he should wipe it off and pray in them.
Grade : Sahih, Ref: Sunan Abi Dawud 650 In-book ref: Book 2, Hadith 260
    English: Book 2, Hadith 650

Chapter : What Has Been Related About Salat In Sandals

Sa'eed bin Yazid Abu Maslamah said: "I said to Anas bin Malik [‫رضى الله عنه‬] 'Would Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) perform Salat wearing his sandals?' He said: 'Yes.'"

    Grade : Sahih, Ref: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 400 In-book ref Book 2, Hadith 253
    English Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 400

One of the reasons why the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed wearing shoes is to be found in the hadeeth, “Be different from the Jews, who do not pray in their shoes or in their leather slippers (khufoof).” (Abu Dawood, 652; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 607).
This is regarded as mustahabb for the purpose of differing from Jews.

This has to do with the kind of shoes and with the mosque at that time. However if the mosque is furnished with carpeting, then the mosque should be kept clean of shoes, and no one should enter wearing shoes.

The one who is keen to follow this Sunnah can apply it when praying in places where there are no furnishings or carpets, such as parks, beaches and outdoors, etc. If this action confuses some of those who are unaware of the Sunnah, he should explain to them that it is Sunnah before he does it, so that they will not find it odd.

Folding the clothes is not allowed either.

Re: Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWS

It is sunnah to do dikhr through finger counting as made clear in the ahadith, that fingers will be questioned and made to ask on day of Judgment.

    Hadith

    Narrated Yusayrah, mother of Yasir:
The Prophet (ﷺ) commanded them (the women emigrants) to be regular (in remembering Allah by saying): "Allah is most great"; "Glory be to the King, the Holy"; "there is no god but Allah"; and that they should count them on fingers, for they (the fingers) will be questioned and asked to speak.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:
I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) counting the glorification of Allah on fingers.

Re: Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWS

    Missing Fajr

Fajr is one of the obligatory prayer, it starts from the dawn time until the sunrise. All Muslims must pray the prayer and it is not permissible to miss it.

Nowsday, many people end up missing fajr, and when they are asked about it, they make excuses such as they find it difficult to wake up early for the prayer, this is because they are not concerned about it, and have no intention for it, yet they are concerned about worldly matters! When they have booked a flight and the timing is at 5 am, they would deliberately prepare themselves, by going to sleep early and using alarm, being very anxious about missing it...

But when it comes to fajr, they do not even think about it. Instead they sleep at late time which can lead to missing the prayer easily. We have become very negligent of our deen and feel satisfied with dunya. It is important to know this hadith.

    Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No prayer is heavier upon the hypocrites than the Fajr and the `Isha' prayers and if they knew what is in them (in reward), they would have attended them, even if (it was) crawling.
    Sahih al-Bukhari, 657
    In-Book Reference: Book 10, Hadith 51
USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 1, Book 11, Hadith 626 (deprecated numbering scheme)

To avoid missing fajr, one should make sincere intention when going to sleep, to wake up for fajr, they also should set up alarm while putting trust in Allah. They also should try to apply the sunnah of sleeping such as sleeping in state of ablution, reciting Ayat Kursi, two last verses of Surah baqarah and surah kafiroon etc, this will also help to feel prepared. One should also try to sleep early after isha, and avoid any activities that may lead them to stay late, such as speaking which is makrooh except if it is about useful topics.

    100. Reward of Fajr and Isha in congregation Buraidah Al-Aslami [‫رضى الله عنه‬] narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Give glad tiding to those who walk to the Masajid in the dark; of a complete light on the Day of Resurrection."
    Grade : Sahih, Ref: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 223

Uthman bin Affan [‫رضى الله عنه‬] narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Whoever attends Isha in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) stood half of the night. And whoever prays Isha and Fajr in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) spend the entire night standing (in prayer)."
    Grade : Sahih Ref : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 221
    In-book ref : Book 2, Hadith 73
    Eng : Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 221

From tafseer of Surah Hadid ayah 13: On the day of Judgement, the Angels will guide every person through a path. The path is pitch black dark and every believer will have a light depending on his good deeds. The size of the light ranges from the fingers nail size to the light that is the size of a city or a big tower (for those who go to Fajr and Isha). The munafiqoon will be in darkness and will ask the believers for light, for which the believers will reply " Go get your own light"

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah [‫رضى الله عنه‬] said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the 'Isha' prayer and the Fajr prayer. If only they knew what (reward) there is in them, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.'"

Grade : Sahih, Ref: Sunan Ibn Majah 797

May Allah open our hearts and guide us to accept the sunnahs and implement them in our Salah. Whoever choses, with his own free will, reasoning and intelligence, the Right Path of Allah, he is guided aright.
    Aammeen.

The one whom Allah guides, can never be misguided! (Qur'an 39:37)

Abu Darda [‫رضى الله عنه‬] said, You will never be misguided so long as you follow the footsteps of the Prophet (ﷺ) (Ibn Battah in Al -Ibaanah)

Best day of the week - Friday

Abu Hurairah [‫رضى الله عنه‬] reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created; on it he was made to enter Paradise; on it he was expelled from it; and the [last] hour (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) will take place on no day other than Friday.” (Sahih Muslim)

    Reading surah kahf

    Narrated Aws ibn Aws:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Messenger of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.

But he who indulges in idle talk and steps over the necks of people (in the mosque), that (Friday) will be for him like the noon prayer.

⭐ Friday is Here! Remember to Recite lots of Durood Today

Anas ibn Malik narrates that Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) said : He who reads a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah blesses him ten times, ten of his sins are forgiven, and he is increased ten times in stages.

    Wiping sleep from the face

    Wiping Sleep from the Face

Ibn Abbas [‫رضى الله عنه‬] narrated that he spent the night at his aunt’s [Maymounah (رضي الله عنها)] house, He said, “I lied across the pillow while my aunt and Allah’s messenger صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ both lied on the pillow. The Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ slept until a little before or after the middle of the night. He صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ woke up and began to wipe the sleep from his face with both his hands…”........ ‬‬‬ Collected by Bukhari (183) and Muslim (763)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen (رحمه الله) commented on this hadeeth saying, It is a legislated (recommended) act to wipe the sleep from the face when waking up. By doing so you’ll find energy.
