REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "Transferance of a Debt from One Person to Another (Al-Hawaala)" ✦

1 - Al-Hawala (the transference of a debt from one person to another)

    Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Procrastination (delay) in paying debts by a wealthy man is injustice. So, if your debt is transferred from your debtor to a rich debtor, you should agree."

    [Sahih al-Bukhari 2287; USC-MSA web (English): Vol. 3, Book 37, Hadith 486]

2 - If somebody's debt are transferred to a rich debtor

The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Procrastination (delay) in paying debts by a wealthy person is injustice. So, if your debt is transferred from your debtor to a rich debtor, you should agree."

    [Sahih al-Bukhari 2288;USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 3, Book 37, Hadith 487]

3 - If the debts due on a dead person are transferred to somebody, the transference is legal

    Narrated Salama bin Al-Akwa:
Once, while we were sitting in the company of Prophet, a dead man was brought. The Prophet (ï·º) was requested to lead the funeral prayer for the deceased. He said, "Is he in debt?" The people replied in the negative. He said, "Has he left any wealth?" They said, "No." So, he led his funeral prayer. Another dead man was brought and the people said, "O Allah's Messenger (ï·º)! Lead his funeral prayer." The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Is he in debt?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Has he left any wealth?" They said, ''Three Dinars." So, he led the prayer. Then a third dead man was brought and the people said (to the Prophet (ï·º) ), Please lead his funeral prayer." He said, "Has he left any wealth?" They said, "No." He asked, "Is he in debt?" They said, ("Yes! He has to pay) three Diners.', He (refused to pray and) said, "Then pray for your (dead) companion." Abu Qatada said, "O Allah's Messenger (ï·º)! Lead his funeral prayer, and I will pay his debt." So, he led the prayer.

The Messenger of Allah ordered us to fast for three days of every month - that is, on the days of the full moon (the 13th, 14th, and 15th of the lunar month). And he said: 'It is like fasting the whole year.'" (Reported by An-Nasa'i)

Sprinkling water on each spouse after nikah

    Question

I have heard two points in a lecture regarding procedures related to after the Nikah.

    1) It is Sunnah sprinkle water on each spouse.
    2) It is Sunnah for the father of the bride to go to the house of the couple and make Du’a for them. It was mentioned that Nabi (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) went to the home of Sayyidatuna Fatimah (radiyallahu ‘anha) after the Nikah and made a certain du’a for them. I humbly request if you could please explain the steps outlined above as well as include the relevant du’as and references.

    Answer

It is authentically reported by Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) that:

“……. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) went to the home of Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) -after performing the nikah- and asked for water. Sayyidatuna Fathimah (radiyallahu ‘anha) brought the water and Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) took a sip and then gargled it out into the bowl. Consequently he sprinkled the water on her head and chest and recited:

’Allahumma inni u’idhuha bika wa dhurriyataha minash shaytanir rajim’

Translation: O Allah! I seek your protection for her and her progeny from Shaytan the accursed.

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) asked her to turn around and sprinkled water on her back and repeated the du’a. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then asked for more water and repeated the same action on Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) and recited the same du’a, by altering the suffix to the masculine tense ie.
    ]
Allahumma inni u’idhuhu bika wa dhurriyatahu minash shaytanir rajim.
Translation: O Allah! I seek your protection for him and his progeny from Shaytan the accursed.

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said to Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) “you may now proceed with your wife in the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah”
(Sahih ibn Hibban; At Taqasim Wal Anwa’, hadith: 3283, Al Hisnul Hasin, pg. 91)

In other versions of the above, Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) also recited the following du’a for each of them:

Allahumma barik fi hima wa barik lahuma fi bina ihima

Translation: O Allah Bless them and bless their union

    (Majma’uz Zawaid, vol.9 pg.209. Also see Hayatus Sahabah, vol.2 pg.896-898)

    And Allah Ta’ala Knows best

    ✦REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "DUTIFULNESS TO ONE'S MOTHER"✦

Who is the most person in our life to whom we should be dutiful ??? Read this wonderful sunnah. Take this also as a Reminder !!! ••••►Please LIKE/SHARE/COMMENT

➲ Bahz ibn Hakim's grandfather said, "I asked, 'Messenger of Allâh (sallAllâhu 'alayhi wa salam), to whom should I be dutiful?'► 'Your mother,' he replied. I asked, 'Then whom?'► 'Your mother,' he replied. I asked, 'Then whom?'► 'Your mother,' he replied. I asked, 'Then whom?'► 'Your mother,' he replied. I asked, 'Then to whom should I be dutiful?'► 'Your father,' he replied,►'and then the next closest relative and then the next.'"

    [Adab Al-Mufrad - Imam Al Bukhari - I.2.#3]

➲ 'Ata' ibn Yasar said that a man came to Ibn 'Abbas (radiyAllâhu 'anhu) and said, "I asked a woman to marry me and she refused to marry me. Another man asked her and she agreed to marry him. I became jealous and killed her. Is there any way for me to repent?" He asked, "Is your mother alive?" "No," he replied. He said, "repent to Allâh Almighty and try to draw near Him as much as you can."

'Ata' (radiyAllâhu 'anhu) said, "I went to Ibn 'Abbas and asked him, 'Why did you ask him whether his mother was alive?' He replied, 'I do not know of any action better for bringing a person near to Allâh than dutifulness to his mother.'"

    Make this dua :

"O Allah, for Your mercy I hope, so do not abandon me to myself even for a moment. And correct all my affairs. There is no god but You." ~ Ameen

Revive the Sunnah of Muhammad SAW.

    Asalamualykum,

I hope everyone is well and in the best of emaan in sha Allah.

I've searched this forum to see if there is a similar thread but can't find anything.

If there is i apologise in advance and please feel free to merge the thread if necessary.

I thought it would be good if we had a thread where we remind each other of the Sunnah of the Prophet Sallal-ahu Alyhi Wasalaam and especially in this day and age where we are all reminded and warned of a time where very few will follow the Sunnah. May Allah swt save us from harm Ameen.

So let us all revive the Sunnah and let us all try and implement what we post and read in sha Allah.

Please feel free to share the sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad Sallal-ahu Alyhi Wasalaam.

    Sunnah one:
    To use Miswaak.

Not only does this clean your teeth but it also has several religious benefits such as pleasing Allah swt, increasing your reward of salaah Subhana Allah, increasing your memory, cures illness and many more.

    Alhamdulilah.

    Asalamualykum,

It is sunnah to fast on Monday's & Thursdays.

“The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.” (al-Nasaa’i, 2320; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inSaheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer, 4827).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, and he said: “Those are two days on which people’s deeds are shown to the Lord of the Worlds, and I want my deeds to be shown to Him when I am fasting.” (al-Nasaa’i, 2358; Ibn Maajah, 1740; Ahmad, 8161; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1583).

re: Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWS

    for this amazing thread idea.

"Whoever revives an aspect of my Sunnah that is forgotten after my death, he will have a reward equivalent to that of the people who follow him, without it detracting in the least from their reward." [Tirmidhi 7/443]

Sunnah Six: Licking your fingers after eating food.

Ka'b bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I saw Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) eating with three fingers (i.e., the thumb, the index finger and the middle finger) and licking them after having finished the food.

re: Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWS

Sunnah Nine: Drinking and eating from the exact same place with your spouse .

Aisha radiallahu anha would drink from a cup. The Prophet would take this cup and search for the place where the lips of his beloved wife made contact. Upon finding the place where his wife drank from the cup, he would put his lips on the very same place so that his lips have touched the place where her lips touched. He would then drink the contents of the cup at the same time enjoying union with his spouse. When there was meat to eat, Sayyidah Aisha radiallahu anha would take a bite. The Prophet would take the meat from her hand and again place his mouth the very same place where his wife ate from.

re: Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAWS

Sunnah 13: Saying to whom you know and don't know. Remember to Smile too , double Sunnah right there .

In one Hadith a man asked the Prophet about which aspect of Islam was best. The Prophet replied:
"Feeding the hungry, and saying salaam to those you know and those you don't know." (Bukhari and Muslim)

"And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally."
    (Qur'an, An-Nisa 4:86)
