On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.

8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)
Surah: 8 Aya: 16
Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
Translation
16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!
هُوَ الَّذي أَخرَجَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ مِن دِيارِهِم لِأَوَّلِ الحَشرِ ۚ ما ظَنَنتُم أَن يَخرُجوا ۖ وَظَنّوا أَنَّهُم مانِعَتُهُم حُصونُهُم مِنَ اللَّهِ فَأَتاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن حَيثُ لَم يَحتَسِبوا ۖ وَقَذَفَ في قُلوبِهِمُ الرُّعبَ ۚ يُخرِبونَ بُيوتَهُم بِأَيديهِم وَأَيدِي المُؤمِنينَ فَاعتَبِروا يا أُولِي الأَبصار
It is He who expelled the faithless
belonging to the People of the Book
from their homes
at the outset of [their] en masse banishment.
You did not think that they would go out,
and they thought their fortresses would protect them
from Allah.
But Allah came at them
from whence they did not reckon
and He cast terror into their hearts.
They demolish their houses with their own hands
and the hands of the faithful.
So take lesson, O you who have insight
That is because they defied Allah and His Apostle;
and whoever defies Allah,
indeed Allah is severe in retribution.

ما قَطَعتُم مِن لينَةٍ أَو تَرَكتُموها قائِمَةً عَلىٰ أُصولِها فَبِإِذنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخزِيَ الفاسِقينَ
Whatever palm trees you cut down
or left standing on their roots,
it was by Allah’s will,
and in order that He may disgrace the transgressors.

Abu Umamah (RA) narrated: "The Prophet (SAW) performed Wudu; so he washed his face three times, and his hands three times, and wiped his head, and he said: "The ears are part of the head."
TRANSLATION
Certainly We tested those who were before them. So Allah shall surely ascertain those who are truthful, and He shall surely ascertain the liars.
اَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ كَا لْمُفْسِدِيْنَ فِى الْاَ رْضِ ۖ اَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ كَا لْفُجَّا رِ
"Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked?"
(QS. Saad 38: Verse 28)
All praise belongs to Allah, originator of the heavens and the earth, maker of the angels [His] messengers, possessing wings, two, three or four [of them]. He adds to the creation whatever He wishes. Indeed Allah has power over all things.
Whatever mercy Allah unfolds for the people, no one can withhold it; and whatever He withholds no one can release it after Him,1 and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.
اَ لَا لِلّٰهِ الدِّيْنُ الْخَا لِصُ ۗ وَا لَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ اِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُوْنَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ زُلْفٰى ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيْ مَا هُمْ فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهْدِيْ مَنْ هُوَ كٰذِبٌ كَفَّا رٌ
"Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position. Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever."
(QS. Az-Zumar 39: Verse 3)
اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ اَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَسَلَـكَهٗ يَنَا بِيْعَ فِى الْاَ رْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِهٖ زَرْعًا مُّخْتَلِفًا اَ لْوَا نُهٗ ثُمَّ يَهِيْجُ فَتَـرٰٮهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهٗ حُطَا مًا ۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَذِكْرٰى لِاُ ولِى الْاَ لْبَا بِ
"Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding."
(QS. Az-Zumar 39: Verse 21)
Among the people is he who buys diversionary talk that he may lead [people] astray from Allah’s way without any knowledge, and he takes it in derision. For such there is a humiliating punishment.
And when Our signs are recited to him he turns away disdainfully as if he had not heard them [at all], as if there were a deafness in his ears. So inform him of a painful punishment.
He created the heavens without any pillars that you may see, and cast firm mountains in the earth lest it should shake with you, and He has scattered in it every kind of animal. And We sent down water from the sky and caused every splendid kind [of plant] to grow in it.
Certainly We gave Luqman wisdom, saying, ‘Give thanks to Allah; and whoever gives thanks, gives thanks only for his own sake. And whoever is ungrateful, [let him know that] Allah is indeed all-sufficient, all-laudable.
وَوَصَّينَا الإِنسانَ بِوالِدَيهِ حَمَلَتهُ أُمُّهُ وَهنًا عَلىٰ وَهنٍ وَفِصالُهُ في عامَينِ أَنِ اشكُر لي وَلِوالِدَيكَ إِلَيَّ المَصيرُ
We have enjoined man concerning his parents: His mother carried him through weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years. Give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is the return.
اَللّٰهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْاَ نْفُسَ حِيْنَ مَوْتِهَا وَا لَّتِيْ لَمْ تَمُتْ فِيْ مَنَا مِهَا ۚ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِيْ قَضٰى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَ يُرْسِلُ الْاُ خْرٰۤى اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ
"Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought."
(QS. Az-Zumar 39: Verse 42)
لَّهٗ مَقَا لِيْدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَا لْاَ رْضِ ۗ وَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰ يٰتِ اللّٰهِ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ
"To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And they who disbelieve in the verses of Allah - it is those who are the losers."

غَا فِرِ الذَّنْبِۢ وَقَا بِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيْدِ الْعِقَا بِ ذِى الطَّوْلِ ۗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۗ اِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيْرُ

هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَا دْعُوْهُ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ ۗ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ
"He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
(QS. Ghafir 40: Verse 65)
فَلَـنُذِيْقَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا عَذَا بًا شَدِيْدًا ۙ وَّلَنَجْزِي َنَّهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ كَا نُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ
"But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing."
(QS. Fussilat 41: Verse 27)
