Turn to the Qurʾān when Faced with Calamities

Despite the worsened situation that we (the Ummah) are in, we still need to be very optimistic that relief will come to us very soon. The Qurʾān is filled with examples of those before us and the hardships and calamities they bore.

These stories are for us to learn from and they’re to encourage us to have a positive and hopeful outlook no matter what we’re faced with. Take the story of the Youth of the Cave for example. Allāh could have EASILY saved them — without them suffering as they did. Without them fleeing their homes and families in fear for their lives. Allāh could have saved them without causing them to fall asleep for the length of time that they did. Allāh says ‘Be’ and it becomes! But still they were made to face loss and grief and hardship – of the worst kind!

They weren’t given the easy way out, why?! Because that’s not how faith builds. Faith builds when you’ve got a calamity hovering over your head and you know there is no escape, and just as that thought crosses your mind, Allāh removes that calamity. He saves you when you think all has been lost. That’s when faith builds. That’s when people build, and that’s when the Ummah builds. (In general, we need to seek answers and guidance in the Qurʾān, but more so during times of tribulation such as the one we currently live in.)

Re: Turn to the Qurʾān when Faced with Calamities

Jazahka Allah for the important message.

It's very true. The only source of comfort we have is the Quraan.

Maybe this is why it is faraz/compulsory upon us all to learn and educate ourselves because if it wasn't for education & learning we won't have the guidance.

It builds your character and emaan.

Pain and hardships allow you to grow spiritually Alhamdulilah so smile when a so called calamity befalls upon you.
Alhamdulilah Allah swt is the greatest.
