Re: What Are Your Favorite Surahs of the Quran and Why?
Whole I would like to just say "the whole entire Qur'an", which would be correct, the Surahs on a personal level that have the most significance to me are:
Al-Ikhlas - The most profound four lines in existence!
Al-Hadid - Everything relevant about man, Allah, creation, this life and the prophets in 29 concise ayats. (and it means very much on many levels)
Al-Fatihah - The central prayer for every Muslim, every Ayat is extraordinarily significant to me in every way.
Al-Adiyat - This Surah is quite self-explanatory
and, Al-Kahf - A Surah about the future, about our awareness of what is really going on in this life, about Moses' vision of knowledge and of the future, also signs related to the Dajjal every Muslim should be mindful of.
But I can't go without saying that Al-Baqarah and Ya-Seen are both backbones of Islam, so I hold them in great importance as well. (as is Al-Isra)
