Muawiyyah narrated that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) said:
“If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allah. And remember that this nation will remain obedient to Allah’s Orders and they will not be harmed by anyone who will oppose them till Allah’s Order (day of Judgement) is established.

• The hadeeth shows the virtues of Muawiyyah (radiAllahu anhu). He mentioned this hadeeth while he was giving a khutbah to the sahabah and tabieen.
• If Allah wants good for a person, he will give him understanding of the Quran and the Sunnah.
• Allah (subhanahu wa ta3la) says in Surah Asr: “Verily man is in loss except those who believe and do righteous deeds…”. Righteous deeds needs knowledge and understanding of how to do so.
• So with knowledge comes action which leads to good for a person.
• This hadeeth is good news for the muwahideen (those who follow tawheed)
• Despite all the corruption and people losing their religion or distorting Islam and following different interpretations, there will always remain Muslims who are upon the haqq until the day of judgement.
