Purist and quietist salafis do not focus on politics, but rather on purifying the deen, dawah, etc. One of the major proponents of this ideology (if im not mistaken, astaghfirullah if I have said something wrong) was shaykh al albaani. should a muslim focus on politics, especially when there is oppression?
