why is it haram to keep a dog in da house?

I have always wonderd why people say is it haram
to keep dogs inside the house but why and is it haram
to keep anyother animal in the house and i dont mean inside the garden
i mean inside the house
I asked that quistion becoz wen i was realy small we had a dog and in the morning we would play with it but wen it gets dark my nan or some other
member of the family will tell me take the dog outside and dont leave it to sleep inside the house and thats wat i do go and put the dog ouside or one of the family buts the dog ouside and i always feel sorry for the poor dog coz he is standing outside in his own little house freezing cold

I can think of lots of people who are much dirtier than dogs....
Ha, I'd rather have a dog in my house than a stranger!

Also, I think a dog is probably more loyal and intelligent than most human beings.

^ well u neva kno wat kind of nastiness could have spilled on the toilet floors, i mean it dont get mopped everytime does it? so we should never enter it bare-feet

a dog will enter heaven for his loyalty as stated in the Quran

however that doesnt change their nature, they do bring a lot of filth into the environment
