Well I've been given an essay topic on othello by shakespeare.

Sort of need help.

heres the topic:

Why does Othello not investigate Iago's accusation? Why does Othello not seek his own proof of Desdemona's betrayal?

I have gotten some quotes. And some idea i got is that, Othello is an outsider and Iago is not. Othello is not experienced with the social norms, especially with regard to Vienetian women, so he trusts him. Also, the fact Iago has saved Othello's life in the battle field, but here in a Cyprus society, he is different. So thats why, but i dont think that is sufficient.

It is a eight paragraph essay, so for one point, i have to explain it. Then go in-depth about that point.

If you guys read the play, please help me out. Thanks.
