I think you should pray for rizq (sustenance), at a bayan the moulana said that you should have lots of children and you should not worry too much about finance as Allah is the provider and having children is an act of strengthening the ummah. So for you as a women if you want to stay at home, have the right intentions, put your trust in Allah and inshAllah He will provide you in ways you can't imagine.

Let the money earning to your husband insha'Allah,he can manage for the child for two-three years. Nothings worse than working while nursing a child. Do not neglect your child just for a few dollars. Be patient and after he/she is the right age insha'Allah you can start working but as if right now,he/she needs your undivided attention for a long period of time. My mother is still taking caring of my sibilings,and myself when the smallest one is two. She plans to do a job when he is 8 or 9 which I say is a good time to actually resume your career. But for you working in your house you may want to start earlier since you are working from your home when you can keep an eye out for your child. In the end it is your decision and your husbands,all I did was give my perspective on the question you asked.

other Muslims do what they can for her, but 9 kids need alot Masha'Allah especially when they are babies, dipaers and food and clothes and proper education... plus this poor woman's brother just committed suicide.. really her life is tragic.. if anything we can learn at all, is simply not pass judgement--it is easy to say get wellfare or stay home and your husband should care for you.. but we live in a different reality than many other Muslims around the globe..
