That is interesting. I never knew the Burka/Niqaab was worn in Europe in the past.
I was looking at myself talking to myself and I realized this conversation...I was having with myself looking at myself was a conversation with myself that I needed to have with myself.
where are the European on board to tell us how uncivilized or that expat who lives in Cyprus who believes that if there were a god he wouldn't want folks to dress this way?
Text without context is pretext If your opponent is of choleric temperament, seek to irritate him
maybe women were respected more back at that time in those particular areas and Allaah knows best
maybe they were more aware of modesty
but interesting video

"Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists).".."[Al Qur'aan 3:2]
One point worth noting; Christian women used to veil for funerals and still do on many ceremonial occasions including weddings..
"Nourish your patience with worship, and nourish your certainty with your connection to Allah, and nourish your sincerity with pure dedication and reliance upon Allah."
that seemed like the Kaiser - are they German during ww1? Could Be UK though?
Intresting find though
peace
Do you think the pious don't sin?
They merely:
Veiled themselves and didn't flaunt it
Sought forgiveness and didn't persist
Took ownership of it and don't justify it
And acted with excellence after they had erred - Ibn al-Qayyim
Ahhhhhhh and bah I should of said, I was sure it wasnt from the UK but I debated whether it was from either Germany, Austro-Hungarian empire or Russia.
I didnt think it was from Germany due to its Protestant traditions so my 'bet' was between Austro-Hungarian (Catholic) empire or Russia (Orthodox).
The guy humming like they do in horror movies the black and white colour and the people just gliding in slow motion just freaked me out im not going get any sleep tonight
