    I wanted to know, do scholars like Ibn Kathir, Ibn Tammiyaah or Al Ghazzali still exist in the world ?

    Subjective.

    Personally I don't believe so. Scholars of the past, Imam Ghazzali, Abdul Qadir Jilani, Bishr Al Hafi (etc etc) May Allah grant them jannah were Scholars of high stature and universally accepted amongst Muslims, whereas today one Scholar i may follow and admire, another person may not because of ideological differences.
