An Indian Bollywood star has signed to play the role of a Muslim woman in Hollywood who has relationships with three men after going from ultra-traditional Muslim to ultra-liberal.
Mallika Sherawat is to star in a Hollywood film ‘Unveiled’ to be directed by Bill Bannerman.
Talking about the film, Bannerman said: "Unveiled is a film about a Muslim woman who has two husbands and a lover. It is a twisted film noir, sexy thriller and dark drama. It is the first Hollywood film to feature a female Muslim protagonist."
Mallika said: "It’s a fantastic story - part thriller, part psychological drama, part film noir...It was so fast paced and exciting and so well written, I couldn’t put it down for a second,"
She added: "And the icing on the cake was that it’s a story from the point of view of a woman…she goes from an ultra-traditional Muslim environment to an ultra-liberal Western one. This is a script I could never say no to."
Bannerman is Clint Eastwood’s assistant director and has been honoured by the Director’s Guild of America as the best assistant director for ‘Unforgiven’, the film, which went on to win Oscar awards for best director and best film.
About casting the Indian actress, Bannerman said: "I was impressed by Mallika’s acting prowess in ‘Murder’ and knew by instinct that she will be able to do justice to the role perfectly."
Bannerman is directing the feature film with his mentor Eastwood’s blessing.
Describing the character, to be played by Mallika, he said: "Behind the dark burqa (veil), there lies a sexy, manipulative victim, who’s dangerous as well as in grave danger."

A direct appeal to Muslim women from the west to abandon Islamic values and adopt western ones. After trying and trying so hard to get Muslim women in the west to abandon the Islamic dress code and live a life based on freedom and individualism they have been shocked to see that more and more Muslim women are adopting and following the Islamic way of life with even many non-Muslim women embracing Islam in huge numbers.
Ideas like feminism have failed to impress Muslim women and to corrupt them, so now films like this is a new and desperate attempt to seduce Muslim women into following a seedy and disgusting lifestyle of sleeping around which ends for many with abortions, illigitamate kids, rape, sexual diseases and many other social problems.

Best get finishing that script of mine about an off-the-rails dude who becomes a much better Muslim by the end, but in a way that is not propaganda or 'PC'...
Well i suppose there are issues in doin so but indeed the western culture and it's people who have different views on Islam will surely tend to look and research on Islam and it's beliefs and which would also help more number of people discover Islam than B4.

If so many movies are made that promote non-Islamic ideals and morals, therefore seducing pious people away from piety, why aren't WE making movies with Islamic ideals and morals and show people that there are other happy endings to stories than "getting the girl at the end" or "blowing up a nuclear reactor" or "gaining limitless freedom"?
How many movies did you guys see that ended with any of the following:
-a person converting to a Muslim
-a person deciding that too much freedom is bad
-a couple deciding against pre-marital sex and getting married
-a person becoming more religious
-etc...
...into following a seedy and disgusting lifestyle of sleeping around which ends for many with abortions, illigitamate kids, rape, sexual diseases and many other social problems.
I found this long sentence deeply offensing for catholics ffended: I think there is not need to explain why.
I bet directors, producers, script writers and actors who themselves are muslim have no objection to such films. They're only muslims by name their real religion is fame and money.

Indian movies r truely very very misleading. They always show muslim girls falling for hindu men n runing with them to get married. Though, the other way round is more common,ie, hindu women marrying muslim men. Like Shahrukh, Amir, Saif, all married to hindu women.
why worry about sum poxy film? as muslims small fitnas like these shudnt worry us, we have to strengthen our imaan and alhamdullilah as a muslim sister this film is far from gonna change my modest views! we have islam on our side why be scared!
