    MUHAMMAD IBN IBRAAHEEM AAL ASH-SHAYKH
    {RAHIMAHULLAAH}

    Taken from: fatwa-online.com

    Name, birth and childhood:
    He was Abu 'Abdul-'Azeez Muhammad Ibn Ibraaheem Ibn 'Abdul-Lateef Ibn 'Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Hasan Ibn Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhaab At-Tameemi.
    He was born in Riyadh on the 17th of Muharram in the year 1311 A.H./1890 C.E.
    He was raised in a righteous environment in Riyadh, under the guidance of his father, Shaykh Ibraaheem Ibn 'Abdul-Lateef who was a judge at that time. Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ibraaheem completed the memorization of the Qur'an at the age of 11 years. He lost his sight when he was 16 years old. However this did not hinder his determination (to seek knowledge), rather, he continued to attend the lectures of the scholars of his time.

    His pursuing knowledge
    He studied with his father and his uncle, Shaykh 'Abdullaah Ibn 'Abdul-Lateef, who was a famous scholar of his time, in Najd. Whilst in the company of his father and uncle, he memorized several texts in Islamic Law and the Arabic language. He also studied fiqh and mustalah al-hadeeth (science of hadeeth) with Shaykh Sa'd Ibn 'Ateeq, and studied the various aspects of the Arabic language from Shaykh Hamad Ibn Faaris.

    Other teachers:
    Among his teachers other than those mentioned were:

    - Sheikh Abdul-Rahman bin Mufaireej, who helped him in memorizing the Qur'an.
    - Sheikh Abdullaah bin Rashid, who taught him the science of faraa'id.
    - Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz bin Maani'.

    HIS VARIOUS POSTS AND POSITIONS
    He undertook several government appointments, in addition to his efforts in teaching, passing fatwa and giving khutbah, such as:

    - He was appointed as a judge in Ghutghut for six months.
    - He was appointed as an Imam in mosques where he used to teach and give khutbas.
    - He was appointed as a general Muftee for the KSA.
    - He also held the following posts; Head of Academic Institutions, Head of the Judiciary, the founder of the Islamic University of Madeenah, at al-Madeenah an-Nabawiyyah, Head of Academic Institutions for girls, and other (such) positions.

    His Students:
    Several senior scholars graduated from having studied with him, amongst them:

    - Shaykh 'Abdullaah Ibn Humayd,
    - Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn Baaz
    - Shaykh Sulayman Ibn 'Ubayd, and other than them.

    His Death:
    Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ibraaheem passed away on Wednesday 24th of Ramadhaan 1389 A.H./1968 C.E. at the age of 78 years. May Allah have mercy upon his soul.

    He left behind a large collection of fataawa and treatises that have been printed in several books and journals.

    JazakAllah Khayr for sharing. It's a coincidence that two other Muftis after him are blind aswell. SubhaanAllaah.

    Here's a video of him with King Faisal I think:

    Nice video. I saw it before, but didn't know who he was back then.

    Just curious, is Sheikh Abdul Aziz aal ash Sheikh related to him?

    Re: Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ibraaheem Aal Ash-shaykh {rahimahullaah}

    Thank you Brother jzcasejz and jazaakallaahu khairan. But the link which you have sent seems to be a bad forum, as they insult and assault the scholars like Ibn Baaz and Albani and others. Anyway yes they are blind but Allah has given them high qualities like insight, sound knowledge,good morals,wisdom and heart sight, while there are many who have eyes but their hearts are sealed, their minds are deviated, their ears are deaf and they are just like cattle. May Allah have mercy upon all those great scholars.

    Sister Jawharah : Yes Shaykh Muhammad bin Ibrahim is a relative of The contemporary Muftee Shaykh Abdulazeez as both descend from Shaykh Mohammad bin Abdulwahhaab therefore they say Aalush-shaikh which means: from his family. Also the minister of Awqaaf (Shaykh Saleh Aal Ash-shaykh) is their relative.

    Thank you all was-salaamu alaikum

    Yes that's just Youtube, I guess. They, on the right hand side link videos that are related to the video being played on Youtube and unfortunately you get alot of people uploading videos like that. It's best just to watch it on this thread rather then going to the Youtube site. And btw, the title thing says that Shaykh Bin Baaz is apparently in that video too.

    JazakAllaah for pointing that out Bro.

    Re: Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ibraaheem Aal Ash-shaykh {rahimahullaah}

    If someone just come out of this planet and new nothing about us, seeing scholars might make them think that being blind is a blessing, subhanAllah, how 'hard' we find it whilst we have sight, imagine the determination and steadfastness of those who did not. Or maybe it takes something like losing your site to make you realise how much you really depend on Allah and have no control of your own in totality.

    The path is long but I hope we meet,
    After the grave and the Day, in paradise in bliss upon a reclined seat.

    A traveler traveling - travelled from shirk to tawheed,
    If I'm remembered for anything - let it be the Mercy I seek.

    Sheikh Ibn Bazz is not related to sheikh Muhamed ibn Ibrahim. The mufti now is. All the sheikhs alush-sheikh are related and are from the descendants of Sheikh ul-Islam Muhammed ibn Abdul-Wahab.

    And Sheikh Muhamed ibn Ibrahim is one of the foremost schoolars of the Ummah in our time. In Aqidah he is an undisputed authority. May Allah be merciful to him and addmit him to Jannah. Ameen
