I'd like to start a thread of the great wisdom behind the sayings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Everyone can post their own Hadith or Qur'an Aya!
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (R): A man asked the Prophet (s.a.w.) "What sort of deeds of Islam are good?" The Prophet (s.a.w.) replied, "To feed the poor and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know." (sahih-Al bukhari vol.1 hadith No. 11).
Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: The Prophet (s.a.w) said. "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. Al-bukhari 8.34
