    Weekly Islamic Talks.

    Asalamualykum,

Hope your all in a good state of mind and emaan in sha Allah.

As part of my tajweed classes, we also have a 15 minutes Islamic talk and i thought it would be great if i could share what i learnt. In sha Allah. Surprising, how much information you can absorb in 15 minutes.

If anyone is wondering these practices are from the Hanafi school of thought/madhab.

The first class was last week so today i'll make 2 postings for each class.

    Who the best person is

    • The best person amongst you is the one who learns and teaches the Quraan. In some books it is narrated anyone who learns OR teaches the Quraan. In other books both acts are needed (learning & teaching).

    • There are different levels of rewards and the highest reward is to learn and understand the meaning of the Quraan. The one who earns the least reward is the one who just recites the Quraan without understanding the content.

    • If a person thinks the knowledge of Quraan is inferior to another field he/she has disrespected the Quraan. Learning and teaching the Quraan is the more superior act of all acts.

    • If you love Allah swt, you will love the Quraan. Those who will have shelter or shade on the day of Qiymaat are the ones who teach Quraan to children.

    • If a student of deen makes any dua after class has finished that dua will be accepted in sha Allah.

A book which was recommended by the teacher was called "Fadaail-e-Amaal" by Shaykh Al-Hadeeth - Mawkana Kutub Khana - Faizi Lahore Pakistan.

Blessings which are showered upon students of deen

    • It is a clear sign from Allah swt that HE wants good for you as HE has given you an opportunity to learn about deen and has chosen you out of many to be a student of deen.

    • The Quraan is more beloved to Allah than everything in Jannah.

    • All the animals of the land including the fish in the sea and the ants inside their holes make dua to Allah swt for your forgiveness.

    • The most beloved place to Allah swt is the masjid & the worse place to Allah swt is the shopping centres.

    • It is also narrated that the angels spread their wings for you whilst you are making your way to the Masjid. There are 2 meanings which can be derived from this.

    1) The angels literally lower their wings for you so you walk on their wings or

    2) The angels stop their normal duties and stand still to show you respect as you are on the path of deen.

    • Anyone who recites the Quraan will have the Quraan as a companion in the grave. If you read Surat Mulk and Surat Sajdah every night then these surats will in sha Allah, protect you from the horrors of the grave.

    Re: Weekly Islamic Talks.

    Asalamualykum everyone,

    Hope everyone is well.

Last week session was cancelled so for the eagle-eyed members you'll notice i never posted last week.

    This week's topic was on...

THE ACT OF GIVING SADQA (CHARITY)

Alhamdulilah, the teacher advised the one who gives sadqa removes his/her spiritual diseases. In the same way, we are happy to pay a large amount of money to doctors for a medical cure which is not guaranteed, we should happily give sadqa for the sake of Allah swa and the one who thinks he/she is not getting anything in return couldn’t be further away from the truth.

Do not think the act of giving charity decreases your wealth but, quite the opposite, it increases your wealth in ways we couldn’t think of.

It is preferred if anyone does want to give money to charity, one should do so in private and should not boast to people about his/her good deed.

Giving money to charity also removes your past sins Alhamdulilah and we should strive to go beyond the normal guidelines i.e. qurbani and zakat.
