Rarely will you find words of such beauty which belong to other than Imam Ibn al Qayyim!
He said,
“If Allah shuts a door in front of you due to His wisdom, He will certainly open up for you a better one through His mercy! Ponder over the situation of the foetus. It has only *one* source of food, via the umbilical cord.
The baby emerges from the womb and that source comes to an end. But instead, Allah replaces this child with *two* new and better sources of nutrition, pure and sweet milk from the chest of his mother.
The child is eventually weaned and again, these two sources of provision come to an end. But instead, Allah replaces this child *four* new, better and richer sources of provision, namely, two types of food – earths food and meats – and two types of drinks – water and milk!
Eventually, this person dies and these four sources of provision come to an end as well. But if this person had lived a life of piety and worship, Allah opens up for him/her the *eight* gates of Paradise to enter through which ever they wish!”
