    Help to Gaza

    Report bad ads?

I am creating international human organization for helping families in Gaza. This hasn´t any political reasons, just humanity. I am looking for donators for families in Gaza. In cause of siege they can´t get enough help from international organizations.

I am looking for ordinary people to send money or cloches or medicine to Gaza. I have contacts to there how to send and to who to send.

If anyone interesting, just contact me.

    Greetings, sister harb

That sounds like a great idea.
Perhaps you can use a fundraising site such as Justgiving to raise funds. That way people can make payments from their bank accounts in a secure way. You can also choose paypal as a payment option - which may be helpful to some people.

    Good luck

Fundraisng hasn't helped significantly so far.
What Gazans need is a moderate government willing to talk to Israel, allongside with greater pressure on Israel bout the two state solution by the US and the EU.

You are absolutely right. Gazans need moderate government what they already has. By the Isreali side they need moderate government too; now they have far-right one.

Fundraising helps people whose don´t get help from international organizations. I have personally helped families to get windows, buy milk to kids or get needed medical.

Please ask people in your mosques/churches to help. Any kind of help/support/duas/prayers are needed.

Yes their new government is a right one, with the foreign minister Lieberman being a particular sham.
The guy comes to Europe and demans the continent put more pressure on Iran, during the war they demanded additional pressure on Hamas and when the commissioner Ferrero Waldner said no new progress will be made without the Israeli side clearly backing the two state solution Israel said Europe should keep its criticism of the jewish state at a minimum or risk losing the status of a peace partner.

    Re: Help to Gaza

This is part of my campaing; simple stories from Gazans whose are still live unders unfair siege. This is sister Eman S.

    From Gaza:

    Massacre of the Black Saturday

    Eman Sourani

On December 27, 2008. The attacks began around the time 11:00 am. That time that children were leaving schools, students were leavening universities and everyone was trying to live his day just as a normal day.
The day before the attack Israeli government was talking about an ceasefire, and then we were all shocked when it was the time for random air raids, explosions and demolition everywhere. Nobody understood what was happening! We had no options but to be killed, injured, or keep running and screaming avoiding the glass and stones everywhere. In addition to that, the most terrifying thing was the total destruction; every city in Gaza Strip was under fire at the same time.

In fact, the Gazans used to hear about an invasion maybe south, north or east Gaza that continues three or at last five days and the Israel's occupation forces leave the place. But this time it was the longest and most horrifying ever!!! Therefore, every one was waiting for the end; everybody was ready anytime that he or she might be the next target. The main intention for that attack was unclear even for the so called Israelis themselves. What does it mean to that mosques, UN schools, factories, civil associations or even universities to be heavily bombed? What about civilians who were continuously be threaten by phone calls at the midnight in the most awful psychological pressures and war.

People of Gaza were livening days that will not be forgotten, there was No cooking gas, No electricity, a curfew after 6:00 pm that nobody was dare to go outside home, terrifying nights for children, women, and men and for school/university students who were supposed to study hard for the second term exams as students were always thinking about our future.
How that will be fine under the ongoing worsening situation, moreover that miserable state when you keep listening to the radio for the latest situation on the ground through Breaking News and shocked that maybe your uncle, brother, or your friend was killed. And the important thing to mention is that the Israel occupation forces used a new weapon; not for destruction, explosions or demolition, actually, that weapon was for burning "mankind burning", phosphorus was the new weapon that was just targeted Gazans as guinea pig to see how its effective. Phosphorescence was seen every night and day and till now the hospitals full of infectors suffer from cancer.
The war imposed on Gaza, military air fighters in the air, tanks invaded the ground and battleships in the sea .

After 22 days of the aggression; on January 18th, 2009, the Israeli death toll stood at 1445 people killed and 5300 civilian as casualties. And above all 1.4 million people who living in Gaza are psychologically destroyed with minimum hopes of better of future.

    Re: Help to Gaza

this reminds of a testinomy i wrote (sister from Gaza)

this is about the first day of the war

It was 27/12/2008 , it was a sunny day in the season of winter , it was a normal morning, I was studying , my brothers went to their work , my nephews and nieces went to their schools too , everything was as every day's routine , this routine was broken by sudden explosions at 11:30 a.m., I said explosions because I am not sure of a certain number of how many they were , I am a Gazan , I am a Palestinian too , but that does not mean that I must not be frightened , I am a normal girl anyway , I cried , yea , I really did , it was not the first time I have cried , I used to do so when I hear the voice of the F-16 , Helicopter and Apache . I started to be more worried , all the students left their schools , but my little niece did not, my brothers did not come back too , all I could do crying and making Dua' , ah , she came back , her face was not the one I used to know , my brothers too come back after an hour .
It was 12:30 , but till that moment we could not know what was going on , what these explosions for , of course , we could not , two years of Gaza siege have deprived us from

the electricity and from watching T.V. but there was a radio , it was a real shock to hear the number of martyrs , at first I said that there must be a mistake , but when the power was on and I saw the pictures of the martyrs , I uttered no word , I said it was enough to hear that number and see the damage of the security headquarters in every place in Gaza Strip , my cousin was one of the 100 martyr of that day , till now , I cannot believe that he was martyred , but I must do, I felt that I wanted to cry , but I could not , I thought that it was enough for that day , it was a tiring day , at the end of this day I could say that the Zionists did damage all Hamas security headquarters and Qassam rockets launchers at the same minute not the same hour , approximately , 50 military aircraft destroyed 100 target in 30 min. It was just the beginning , it was the fisrt day of the 22 days of the war on Gaza , of course if I have another chance to talk about every single day through the war , I won't stop writing .All in all , this war does not keep us away from getting our rights to have a free Palestine , resistance does not stop and it will not If Allah wills.

    Re: Help to Gaza

    Gaza Under the Israeli Siege
By Islam - a sister from Gaza

May be if you are with a foreigner he'd ask you a general question ,as usual, to break the ice between you and him. This question is more likely to be "what is your country like?" Your answer as Gazan would unquestionably be different from other people's answers in the world; this is not because Gazans are different from other people on the earth ,but it's because Gazans have been leading exceptional hard times for more than a couple of years due to the inequitable and inhumane siege imposed over it. This unjustified and arrogant siege has obviously affected the entire life of Gazans on all fields especially their economy and mental health.

The effect of this sever Israeli closure upon Gaza can be clearly manifested through setting our eyes on the mental health of the people of Gaza. They have been suffering from occupation for ages ,also they have been receiving disaster after another; most of the people of Gaza have gone through hardships along their lifetime, some of them lost people from the dearest and nearest , others lost their homes and others lost their hope and ambition. This siege has come to add insult to injury by controlling every bits and pieces of the life, it's rather taken effect on what to eat , what to drink and even what kind of air to have. Imagine human beings leading such life of suppression and inequity, how would their mental health be then? The answer is rather clear and obvious that the mental health of the people of Gaza has been down in the dumps due to this ****ed unreasonable blockade.

    Re: Help to Gaza

    Re: Help to Gaza

    Memories Of War

I would believe they had been mere memories if I am not recording them it on this paper, but the rigorous reality of the not mere memories made me shudder at each trivial detail that is no more so since it has been fetched by 'war'!

27th December; the day I had decided to start reading my lessons that I will be well prepared for the exams which would commence a week afterwards. I arose from my sleep enraged by a peddler whose coarse sound was a main part of one of fairy dreams. I had desired these fairy dreams for a short while before they turned to be the green meadows that paved the lane to hellish nightmares.

Struggling over my tricky habits of wasting time, I could finally lay hold of my 'Study Skills' book and focus on what is between the two covers of it. At 12:35 exactly three or more delusive circles were drawn while I, to some extent, had got engaged in some false stuff of 'how to manage your time', 'how to prepare for exams' and such boring how-to! Fortunately, it had not been so long before I was twice plucked out of my engagement: first by the shouting of two of my younger sisters quarreling over whose turn it is to sweep the flour which caused furiousness in my eyes as I need to focus on studying! This furiousness was ostensibly observed by them; they sank, therefore, into absolute silence. The second is impossible to write 'Memories of War' without. Amid the aversion I was soaking into, I was awaken by a very huge bomb which was immediately then followed by another more terror-stricken explosion. The terror that occupied me at that moment was horribly increasing by hearing another bomb and another one, and then it was normally increasing as a response of not hearing a new bomb but more of presaging it. That series of blasts and the fright it caused in few seconds, no more that 15 seconds, vanished at a wink of an eye. I was heart-stricken and I am not ashamed to confess it, but I was in a more desperate position that I could not even reveal my fright since I was, at sudden, surrounded by my two of my sisters who you could within easy reach grasp their terror. It was certainly hard moments that I had never passed through before, and I still could utilize them as a chance of growing the skill I always lacked, in fact I still lack, self-control. I, then, was obliged to play the role of the father, who was not thereat, and the ideal big brother, so I cleared my throat to conceal any mark of fear which might spoil the whole sketch! I raised my voice and said: 'why you look frightened? Come on, easy gals; we have gotten experienced to this. It is only some air raids, and therrr… a more horrific blast struck the area. This time the hair-raising bomb left me no choice but to move hence and forth as a nomad; it was some tricky strategy of mine to release some of the unrestrained terror inside me. My terror, after all, would have been disclosed by the beats of my heart. For their part, my sisters were still surrounding me: the smallest, grapping to the waist of the elder is shrieking and shedding tears; the middle, is staring with stupidity she had never been described of, and the elder sister was odd habitually as she seemed more of pluck than I am. This scene seemed had drawn an end each five-minute silence took over of the area; however, this silence was broken by another blast.

While listening to the news, I was stunned by the number of the martyrs who where killed in the first two targets. 45! Leaning on the couch, I thought over these bodies before they got to their work; when they were hit by the warplanes, the moment their souls were rising to their creator! I pored over their families the moment they received the news of their loss. It was a real hard fact we had to believe. I had soon to be more sullen by the new number of the overall slain half an hour after the first air raid. 90 slain! That was the new statistics by its hearing I felt this is all a trick played on me. It was unbelievable critical times.

I trained myself from hearing the first blast on not to react to it, even if it was unwittingly, since I would be hearing them for not a very short time. Moreover, the sounds of shelling, the hovering of a helicopter, the humming of a drone, gun firing and sounds alike had become a constituent part of an awful symphony being played compulsorily to the audience. We seemed unconsciously have changed the songs of Fairouz and Um Kalthoum to the new obligatory rhythm of life. As for my eyes, the smoke which aroused in the wake of every raid had set itself in the iris of my eye as it had been a new partition of eye! The scenes on TV of blood, debris, fire, ambulances, from the very first day of the war, had replaced the prior common views of damask series, football matches, cartoon films …

Among my befuddlement, the first day had come to an end with the latest statistics of 190 martyrs. My baffling at that time had no limits, and so did the gloomy day. The sun of a new day arose, though, and the melancholy of a new day had started from the early hours by each new bullet fired at a human body. It started by each new shelling targeted a humanitarian institution. It started by each new bomb blown up in one of the mosques across the city. It started by each tear dropped on the cheeks of a distressed mother mourning her young man and whom she had spent days and nights breastfeeding.

I was, by no intention of mine, getting in the rut of the new daily life, and my grief as it seemed to me didn't change. I could found a logical interpretation of this that kept me from taking the leave of my senses. I referred this that humans, sooner or later, would be accustomed to a new system by their nature. My grief was so deep when hearing the first statistics of 45 martyrs. Then, being a human, this had been sort of normal. My grief should diminish gradually as I am getting a part of the new system. However, it had not decreased as the number was gradually increasing. As a logical result of being human, my grief stayed at the same level! However, I always believe I am inanimate.

One of the most terrifying times was the scene of 6th day of the war 1:30 am. I was struggling over my most odious enemy: tedium. Since we had the power on two to three hours daily, I was able neither to watch TV, to use the computer, nor even to go through the files I had kept on my mobile. I decided to read a novel by Mahmud Darwish called 'Memory of Forgetfulness'. I used to read while listening to music which is the rhythm of my ordinary life. Presently while reading this novel, I still kept my habit of listening to the rhythm of the new life, and it was so gentle feelings overcoming me. These subtle feelings broke while hearing a horrible blast whose echoes still penetrate my ears this moment. New feelings of confusion and terror and a state of unconscious took place of the prior. I immediately headed to the window in the direction from which the sound had come as my ears gained a new faculty of determining the target area once I heard the blast. Over there, I could clearly sight the view of a tremendous fire. It was an orange fire stained with red and blood-red spots. In the very far, it was burning and ballooning in the middle of a very black sky. While amid an absolute silence the hovering of Apaches arose to break through the view. At that moment, I ensured I would bear that view in my mind throughout my life.

As I am writing this and listening to music of 'La Trio Joubran', I have gained back the genuine rhythm of my life. While recalling the past war, I could convince myself of having an experience many greats have not had. I sliced though it with more pride of being one of its indigenous people. The war which was declared against unarmed people to eradicate their identity turned to be a war they proudly recall each minor detail of it. They glorify the terror it caused; they admire the baffling it left them in; they praise the martyrs killed defending their land: the Land on which was inscribed with the blood of its slains: 'Long Live Life'. This war left them no choice but to be more resolute on returning their rights which once were forcibly taking from them.

    Re: Help to Gaza

    The Misery of Tickets...

    By; Eman Sourani

A lot of people… men, and women, old and even children stand within a Line. A scene that I'm used to see repeated from time to time in Gaza , similar to that one in Hollywood in front of Kodak theatre or in Chicago near Auditorium stage or that one in London there in front of Empire Theatre all waiting for tickets.; but the fact is that, tickets differs, those tickets in The Gaza Strip are unique and special ones.

Since 2006, when the so called 'Israel' has imposed the apartheid siege on Gaza Strip, which has created a profound human dignity crisis.
People are living sleepless nights thinking of the coming hours of being one of those who join the Line in order to have A Ticket.
Subvention and food aids that people used to have since a long time just bring up the same scene that was familiar in 1948. In consequence of absence of work, there is no either money or food, as UN last 2008 report confirms that the unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip now stands at 45 %, higher than anywhere else in the world!

Recently around 95 % of all factories operating in Gaza have been closed down. Moreover, the repeated closure of electricity and fuel sources has also contributed to bringing out the reality that the Gazans are really in need for that unique Ticket.
So a man in Gaza, who has lost his work whether in Israel or, his factory has been destroyed or maybe the cruel, racist policy has swept his land away, nowadays, has to be one of those in a line waiting for the Ticket.

A woman in Gaza, who may have lost her husband as a martyr or has been thrown in a jail by accusation of nothing also she, is a part of the Line.
Youth guys who left the school or the university simply because they can't endure the expenses, and by this he has lost the right to Education. Instead of that, he is standing strayed trying to find a logic explanation of being in such Line. And of course, the scene must not left without mentioning to those little men and women who are considered as the legend of the conflict unfortunately, they are part of that Line.

In fact, these tickets are useless since there is no work. The Gaza Strip need to be build again especially a after the last massacre 2009. Many famous political characters visited Gaza and unfortunately the result was nothing but romantic speech.
If it is known that the Gazans only solicitude is just to eat, so unfortunately, this tragedy scene will still for a long long coming years and Gaza will never get a decisive end for that misery of Tickets ' the civilized begging policy'.
