the death tolls has risen to 3, and the number of injured is now counted at at least 30.
President Trump, whose campaign has been endorsed by neo-nazis, white superemcists, white nationalists, the alt right, etc. has referred to the attack this way:
"we condemn violence, hatred, and bigotry of all kinds, on many sides...on many sides"
he has been criticized for not referring to the attack as a 'white nationalist terror attack'
There's been some fallout in response to what Trump has said, and not said, about this incident.
Important people quit Trump's advisory committees, enough of them that they will no longer function or exist. A few people quit previously for other reasons, but this had a larger impact by comparison. Specific comments from some of those important people are in the link.
Edit: I can't seem to post a link, but there's a NPR article that you can find if you search for "Trump disbands two advisory councils after string of resignations." The councils were once known as the Manufacturing Council, and the Strategy and Policy Forum.
