Not the UK... it's Saudi Arabia

    Report bad ads?

A BRITISH Muslim school is teaching children that Jews are “repugnant apes” and Christians “pigs”, a former teacher claims.

Colin Cook, 57, says when he raised his concerns to chiefs at the Saudi government-funded King Fahad Academy in West London he was told: “This is not England. It is Saudi Arabia.”

Some of the 1,250 pupils at the faith school are alleged to have been heard idolising Osama bin Laden, praising 9/11 and saying they want to “kill Americans”.

Mr Cook — himself a Muslim — warned yesterday: “The school could produce a dangerous harvest.

“It is clearly racist and very divisive. It’s deeply immoral to put such ideas into the heads of young children.

“The vast majority of Muslims, including myself, are law-abiding, tolerant of others and peaceful. I understand now why pupils express anti-Western views at the school. Similar concerns at the sister school in Bonn, Germany, gave rise to the fear that the Academies could become breeding grounds for terrorists.”

Mr Cook taught English at the school in Acton for 19 years until he was sacked in December. He had complained that pupils were allowed to cheat by taking textbooks into a GCSE exam.

The dad of three, of Feltham, West London, is claiming unfair dismissal from his £35,000 job, race discrimination and victimisation. The school denies all his allegations, saying he was rightly sacked for misconduct connected to exams.

Mr Cook makes his claims in legal papers lodged at Watford Employment Tribunal.

He says kids as young as five are told other faiths are “worthless”. He adds: “School books describe Jews as ‘monkeys’ or ‘apes’ and Christians as ‘pigs’.

“The textbooks apparently state that the Jews are cursed. Pupils are asked to ‘mention some repugnant characteristics of Jews’ ”.

A witness due to support him at the tribunal later this year adds in other papers: “Recently, pupils have stated they wished to kill Americans, that 9/11 was good, and that Osama bin Laden was a hero.”

Mr Cook, who is seeking £100,000 compensation, insists he was “set up” for whistleblowing.

He had told examining board Edexcel that pupils had taken annotated books into an English language exam in August 2006.

Academy director Dr Sumaya Alyusuf would not comment.

But it is believed the school will claim Mr Cook was disciplined for allegedly showing his daughter — a pupil there — a letter of complaint made about him by one of the boys who sat the exam.

He denies doing that. Yesterday, his legal team said he had made his allegations to protect pupils.

A spokesman said: “The word Islam means peace and the faith preaches tolerance and understanding, in particular towards Jewish and Christian communities. It is because British pupils are put at risk that we’ve taken the extraordinary step of issuing a statement.”

    assalaamu alaykum to the muslims,

peace be upon those who follow righteous guidence,

this was also reported in other papers not just the scum. but they are only reporting on what the courts are saying and then putting their own spin on it.

now does islam teach that some people in the past were turned into apes and swine for their sins? yes certainly it does.

and should we not know the faults of other ways of life so we can avoid their sins and transgressions? yes certainly we should.

but i think some of these matters will have been taken out of context and it is interesting this information has only now come out in relation to this case and not in the previous years and i dont see the relevence to the case in question.

    Assalaamu Alaykum,

peace be upon those who follow righteous guidence,

Have the BNP set up schools for children to be anti-muslim? That school is teaching children to HATE non muslims and the danger of it is apparent, hence children wanting to kill Americans. You say Islam is growing but so are Roman Catholics with the immigrants coming in from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic. The list goes on with the Eastern European immigrants.

If this school is turning these children to become terrorists of the future then every single one of them needs deporting. The one teaching them to hate non muslims needs to be sent to Guantanamo Bay.

You'd think it would be quite easy to check if "school books describe Jews as ‘monkeys’ or ‘apes’ and Christians as ‘pigs’."

He refuted what you said quite comprehensively. There is a huge difference between what private individuals (belonging to fringe political movements) may get away with 'preaching' and what a government funded school should teach.

If you can't grasp that, think about it the other away around. If it's OK for a Saudi school to teach what has been described, then presumably you would have no objection at all to British schools teaching children that all muslims are 'pigs' and they should have no hesitation in supporting and indeed joining any military action that slaughters as many of them as possible?

It is totally wrong in both instances.

The fact that most Muslims are shocked when they hear about these things also proves that most Muslims don't support them. Which renders your entire point, well, pointless... kay:

I have a problem with anything said on FOX News, but they said in a report that polls show that most Muslims in the ME believe that the Jews did 9-11. Second to the Jews was the CIA. I'm not a bit suppressed. I have seen those stances many times. Reality can be shocking.

Time for the UK government to shut the school down. They are WAY too tolerant. Shut the school down and deport any staff that taught this to children.

The thing I don't get with this article is why did it take until the teacher was sacked for him to come out publicly about this school?

exactly what i said, i hate to suspect a brother but if it was so evil and wrong then why wait this long?

the fact that he didnt come forward earlier makes his testimony suspect because he was willing to keep quiet about something he now says is wrong as long as he was being paid a wage,

    and for silent observer,
even if everything in this article was true, even if i agreed with you about it being all wrong and not taken out of context etc then really dont think for a moment the uk would close this school down, they would not dare do so for fear of offending the saudia government.
