So me and my friends from uni planning on going umrah in the summer holidays, my m8 told me it's probably going to cost around 1,500 to 2,000 is that the right price? does it usually cost between that much?
Re: How much does umrah cost? what is a good price?
For ramadhan yes you are looking at around that price
are you looking at the whole ramadhan?
in a group or independent
where do you plan to stay when. the last 10 days in makkah are extremely expensive.

^Yes in Ramadhan, we are planning to go to Medina first for the first 20 days then spend the last 10 days in Makkah, there is going to be 5 of us inshaAllah.
Re: How much does umrah cost? what is a good price?
Well are you going to be doing itikaf in the haram? Take a look at the prices for hotels in makkah-last 10 days you have to book all nights and its steep. Thats why many groups in the uk go to madina last 10 nights.
by group i meant do u plan on going in an organised tour group (which country are u in) or just you and your friends doing the bookings with an agent

Re: How much does umrah cost? what is a good price?
Yes its definitely cheaper and makes a big difference in price. the only thing id say with regards to going in ramadhan is if things like food matter then it might be easier to go with a group that provides suhoor/iftaar as the queues are crazy so thats stress fof you.
If you want to do it in a way where you book your own umrah tickets--- (if you can get them cheaper-you may be able to do so and book now by yourselves but just make sure youve booked 'umrah tickets' which are different to general tickets on a lot of airlines) then sometimes you can save money that way. but closer to the time ticket prices shoot up to around £800 + ---
and then go with a group for the convenience of hotel/ in land travel etc, that may be a way to go too
also what kind of hotels are you looking for. * and distance...
in madinah the hotels are generally better and cheaper and close-ish. in makkah is where they can be a bit far

If you plan on staying in a five star hotel then yes its expensive. But if you are a desi like me and dont care about standards and are not much snotty, you can find a small shabby place to live in for very cheap .... they are usually behind these tall hotels ... a bit of a walk but bang for the buck.
Help me to escape from this existence
I yearn for an answer... can you help me?
I'm drowning in a sea of abused visions and shattered dreams
In somnolent illusion... I'm paralyzed
Re: How much does umrah cost? what is a good price?
Standard Class umrah cost (9 days and not in ramadhan) from Indonesia is around USD 1400 - USD 1700, not including visa cost and airport tax. Cost for De lux, VIP or VVIP class are higher, of course.
Re: How much does umrah cost? what is a good price?
The official (government-run) hajj cost from Indonesia is Rp. 35 millions (or around USD 3,800), but you need to put deposit of IDR 25 millions and put on the waiting list because of the quota. The earliest you can go is year 2017.
There are privately organised hajj which costs much much higher. My brother and his wife went last year for USD7,500 each. Crazy, eh?
But you need not wait for waiting list and normally stay in hotels closer to masjidil haraam and masjid nabawwi

Depends on what is the place that your gonna be focusing to go ahead i mean the country your living in or the company that your gonna be using for the traveling purpose.
You should get ideas about which one is right for you and at the same time the one which you can have in less pricing should be utilized.
