whenever I wake up early in the morning, I pray tahajjud, and eat suhoor, then fast....because whenever I try to do extra fasting on days outside of Ramadan, waking up is always an issue....because my medications make me sleepy, and I never get up even for fajr unless someone wakes me up, but even my mother does not get up for fajr......earlier this week, I fasted, and today I am fasting as well.....I should consider myself lucky, because fasting on Thursdays is Sunnah, so alhmadulillah I woke up early on a Thursday.....
Brother, Will you mind if I advise you to keep your good deeds as such hidden from people. May Allah swt keep you steadfast and consistent in performing good deeds and keep you away from show off. Ameen
