    There is no cure in the haraam

    Allaah has sent down a cure for every disease. And He has not put the cure in something haraam.

    Simak narrated that he heard 'Alqamah bin Wa'il narrate from his father, that he witnessed the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) being asked by Suwaid bin Tariq -or Tariq bin Suwaid- about Khamr, and he forbade it. So he said:

    "We use it as a treatment." So the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "It is certainly not a treatment, rather, it is a disease."

    Jaami al-Tirmidhi Hadiith No. 2182

    Umm Salamah (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

    "Allah did not make your cure in what He made Haram (unlawful) to you." Related by Al-Baihaqi and graded as Sahih by Ibn Hibban.

    Ibn Qudaamah writes:

    وَلا يَجُوزُ التَّدَاوِي بِمُحَرَّمٍ , وَلا بِشَيْءٍ فِيهِ مُحَرَّمٌ

    It is not permitted to use haraam things as medicine nor anything which has something haraam in it.

    The Jurists have pointed out that there is no cure in the haraam.

    If you think that the haraam is bringing benefit then that is the devil causing delusions in your mind.

    Allaah has not sent down a disease but He has sent down a cure and He has not placed the cure in something haraam.

    Be wary of anyone who tells you that you can get cure from the haraam. Islaam is clear that there is no cure in the haraam.

    Quran 2:173 "He has only forbidden you what dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that over which any other (name) than (that of) Allah has been invoked; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring, nor exceeding the limit, no sin shall be upon him; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

    However, later day jurists, keeping in mind the modern day impure medicines and the weakness of people against it have given permission in the usage of haraam medicine on the condition that another lawful and pure medicine is not effective or is not available. (Maariful Quran P.437 V.1)

    The sad part is that you don't even understand what you just posted. So, let me educate you.

    The apparent opinion in the (Hanafi) school is that it is haram.

    For those who allowed it in the school

    However, many of the Hanafi Fuqaha have subjected this dispensation to the following conditions:

    1) It is reasonably known that the medicine will be effective, and is needed;
    2) There is no permissible alternative reasonably available;
    3) This has been established by an expert Muslim doctor who is at least outwardly upright and god-fearing. (ibid)

    It is bad enough that you attempt to reject what has come to your from the authentic hadith (the words of the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) for someone else but what is even more sad is that they actually have the apparent opinion right in accordance with the hadiith!!!

    And since you don't understand dispensations, you thought it actually supported the baatil of listening to music you promoted in the other thread.

    This is what happens when you have Google as your Sheikh

    I don't think you ever took the time to look into the works of classical scholars and how they explained the word necessity in that Verse. So, I won't waste my time arguing with a complete layman.

    Allaha says not to ban the good things (in the context of alcohol) so not to transgress and He doesn't like transgressors....

    Stop misinterpreting the Qur'aan

    The Qur'aan itself makes alcohol haraam.
