Is it haraam to read about mythology? (e.g. Greek mythology, etc.) As there was a Hadith where the Prophet told Umar (RA) (I believe) to not read the Torah.
Also it was said in the Quran “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another.”
Does this contradict the Hadith?
