Assalamualaikum Wah Rahmatullahi Wah Barakatuhu fellow Brothers and Sisters!
I collect rare memorabilia, coins, and war medals, and want to purchase a German WW1 Iron Cross Medal. However, I am unsure of I should purchase it as it sort-of represents the Christian Cross, which is not permissible in Islam. Can somebody please guide me?

Wa Alaikum Asalaam Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuh,
Brother we cannot give you fatwa's here. However as a personal perspective and recommendation I would urge you to keep away from it. This is because it symbolises not only Christianity in terms of the crucifixion, but it's origins go back to the time of the crusaders and then the Knights of Malta which symbolised the war against the Muslims. These secretive groups were also known to have esoteric and occultist connections.
And Allah knows best in all matters
