Does anyone have any reliable info on bid'ah in Islam? What is defined as 'good' bid'ah and what is bad?
I know generally any bid'ah in worship is not allowed but what about other things?
for eg people say that stuff like boycotting and marches are bid'ah as the prophet (saw) never did them...yet the prophet (saw) did not support the non muslims against muslims and knowing that certain companies or whatever support actions against Muslims its only common sense to boycott not to buy from them (supporting them with your money)..
Also the companions collected the Quran into one book in the time of Abu Bakr (ra) even though the prophet (saw) did not do this (as he and Zaid bin thaabit initially pointed out)...
if anyone could shed light on this inshaAllah in terms of exactly what is defined as bad bid'ah and what not..
"Indeed in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest"
qullu bidaatin dhala3la wa qulla dha3lalatin fin naar ....
EVERY bidaah is a misguidance and every misguidance is in the fire ... thats the hadiths
so every bidaah is wrong,
also sister the Quraan wasnt a bidaah, because it was collected durin the times of the Prophet (Saw) on leaves, wood and that, and all the sahaba did was collect it all together and make it into a form where it could be easily read!
lol why would scholars wana do that? infact many "scholars" never quote this hadiths, because they wana follow their own way
here is the full hadiths
"To proceed, the best speech is the Book of Allah and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (PBUH), the worst practice is the introduction of new practices in Islam and every Bid`ah is a misguidance". [Muslim]
also this hadiths is more obvious
"If anybody introduces a practice which is not authenticated by me, it is to be rejected". (Sahih Muslim)
and the hadiths of ummul mumineemn Hadhrat Aisha (RA)...
If anyone introduces in our matter something which does not belong to it, will be rejected".
[Al-Bukhari]
bidaah is simple, if the Prophet (Saw) never did a religious act, dont do it, we aint better then the Prophet (Saw) he did everythin, that could bring us closer to Allah (Swt)
Jaa-Ro-Nee-Mo!!!
"they ask you when will the help of Allah (swt) come! Certainly Allah (Swt) help is always near"
I think it would be best if the sister spoke to a scholar regarding this. Insha'Allah the links provided should help answer her questions. However to avoid speaking without knowledge,
