the fundamentals of the Arabic language?

    Report bad ads?

sometimes when i read things about the arabic language, i get the impression that the language has a basis to it, meaning that it is "built" and is based on/governed by a set of rules becuase (correct me if im wrong) there are differences of opinions amongst scholars of the arabic language concerning certain rules of the arabic language so that means (to me) that wherever these rulings/differences of opinion were derived from then they must be governed by have some sort of sets of rules. does that make sense?

is my reasoning correct and if yes, what are these rules?
