'inthama" 'akhna' 'kuli' 'duru' 'zahamadu' adub' 'makenshi'. dunno if im spelling them right. can anyone help translate any of this words 2 english?
salams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey! is anyone there????????????????????
:sl:
I could only make out 2 of them akhee sorry. Do you have them written in arabic? If so, could you post them up inshaAllah.
Inthamaa : As soon as, Whenever; when, as.
Kull : Totality, Entirety, all, whole.
Ref: Hans Wehr
It looks as if most of these words are slang and not proper Arabic.
Sis Amirah already translated the words Inthama and Kuli.
I'll try some others.
Akhna : I am assuming that this is originally Akhana, which would mean 'Our Brother' or it can also mean 'My Brother'
Makenshi : In the proper Arabic form it would be broken down into the words Maa Kaan Shay' but slang joins them all together to form Makenshi. It means "There wasn't anything"
Sorry I can't make out the others.
Salam
(kuli ) is the imperative form of the verb (eat) and used while talking with a female
example:
(kuli washraby) (eat and drink) while talking with a female...
(duru) could mean (his turn) ..or could be (turn around) while talking to a group of people
(adub) means I'm melting!! ...but I think it is (adab) which means literature or discipline
(zahamadu) means nothing may be it means (zahameno) which means he got upset with him....
if you tell me which nationality of the person who wrote that ,I could help u more....
actually I understand all the Arabic accents easily ,due to long contact with all arabic nationalities.....and what you mentioned is not standard Arabic ..it is accents.
Allah bless
alsalaam alaykom.
Iam not sure but I well try:
inthama = you (dual)
Inthamaa I think it's should be writen like that Indama : As soon as, Whenever; when, as.
adub = politeness (or) Literature.
zahamadu = leadership
makenshi ( Egyptian word) = was not.
kuli = eat (command, feminine gender)
or as what sister amirah_87 said .. Kull : Totality, Entirety, all, whole.
duru = know (past).
wa-alsalaam alaykom .. :)

I want to know hte meaning of the arabic word: حيامة (HIYAMAH)
Like if someone tells me i did حيامة then what does he mean?
Wa alaykum as salaam sis,
I'm not familiar with that word. I've even searched for it in the dictionary but it appears to be non-existent.
You sure it isn't Hijaamah, which means Cupping? Allahu a'lam that's the closest I have to the meaning of what you're looking for.
Maybe someone else will be able to help out inshaAllah.
'yastihiq' "annahu" . and how do u say 'will' in arabic. e.g i 'will' see u tomorrow. or i 'will' finish soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:sl:
Yastahiq would mean : He deserves
And
Annahu would mean : That He, e.g. Annahu Katabahu, it means, That he wrote it.
