The World of the Jinns:

We have been told very little about the lifestyle and living abodes of Jinns in the Quran except that they are made of fire and, like the mankind, they have been created to serve Allah, Who says: And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:[55:15] I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.[51:56]

Learn how to ask Allah for safety from jiins. Allsh Himdelf has taught us to pray: "I seek refuge in the Rabb of mankind, the King of mankind, the real God of mankind, from the mischief of the slinking whisperers (Shaitãn and his workers) who whisper into the hearts of people, whether he be from among the jinn or from mankind." [Surah An - Nas]

Salaam,

Agree that we must Seek refuge in Allah (swt) from them, but also we must learn about them. They were mentioned in the quran and sunnah, and no one is asking to be there friends...

Here is a very recent story of a jiin who took away a boy on last Monday night(20 February 2006) when he got out of his Madrasha room on nature's call. A man appeared him and asked him why he was not discontinuing recitation of the Quran. The boy replied he would never discontinue. The stranger got furious. The boy got ready to defend himself from the stranger's onslaught. As soon as the stranger caught him he got fainted and could say nothing until he was found on Tuesday (21 February 2006) night in a bush in a village far away from where he was taken away. The boy was found in comma in the bush and he narrated the story when he returned to his senses.
