lol no, mirpuri's a dialect in punjabi mainly near the kashmir end i think.

I think its better if we create a mini sub-section within the urdu section for the punjabi speakers, with different dialects. If not that - then i think its better that we merge this thread with the punjabi thread.

I dont see why people associate swearing with Mirpuri. I believe this has to do with the way people are bought up. There are good and bad people everywhere.

Just because someone doesnt understand a language doesnt mean it is slang. It happens to be an Indo European language, quite distinct from Punjabi. It is not a dialect. It is a lot older.

There are a lot of unfair stereotypes going around, and it boils down to peoples ignorance.
