A midwife has beaten the odds by giving birth to three identical bouncing baby girls.

It is thought the odds of naturally conceiving identical triplets could be as high as one in 200 million.

Wikipedia:

Identical triplets or quadruplets are very rare, as this means that the original fertilized egg split and then one of the resultant cells splits again (producing identical triplets) or, even more rarely, a further split occurs (producing identical quadruplets). Sometimes the original fertilized egg will split twice (to produce four embryos), and all four may survive and produce quadruplets, or one of the embryos may not survive and result in identical triplets.

Even though the 3 babies have exactly the same genetics, they are individually accountable before God for their own lives. I wonder if identical siblings also share the same destiny in that they may be more likely to make similar life decisions to each other.

an identical twin also known as 'spare parts' is a blessing but a triplet is nothing short of serendipitous :D
