Brothers and Sisters Don't forget to read surat al kahf this night (or tomorrow friday).
From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471)

“Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”
(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6470)

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong.

So we should all make time and read Surah Kahf InshaALLAH.

Also tell others.

Rasulullah (SAW) said: "Friday is the best of days. It was on this day that Hadrat Aadam alayhis salaam was created, it was on this day that he was granted entry into jannah, it was on this day that he was removed from jannah (which became the cause for man's existence in this universe, and which is a great blessing), and the day of resurrection will also take place on this day. Don't forget. Make time to read Surah Kahf InshaALLAH.

Rasulullah (SAW) said: "Of all the days, Friday is the most virtuous. It is on this day that the trumpet will be blown. Send abundant durood upon me on Fridays because they are presented to me on that day. " The Sahabah(ra) asked: "O Rasulullah! How will they be presented to you when even your bones will not be present after your death?" Rasulullah (SAW) replied: "Allah Ta'ala has made the earth haraam upon the prophets forever . Salam alaikum,

I also want to remind that saying Jumah Mubarak is bid'ah, as neither the Prophet nor his companions said that.

There are videos on YouTube, which you can watch regarding that, unfortunately I am not allowed to post links here ...

“Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”

(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. (a) From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471)

(b) “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”

The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

Al-Mannaawi said:
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amaali: “In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.” (Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/199)

Al-Mannaawi also said:
“It is recommended to read it during the day or night of Jumu’ah, as al-Shaafa'i (may Allaah have mercy on him) stated.” (Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198)

18:45. Set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: It is like the rain which we send down from the skies: the earth's vegetation absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things.

18:46. Wealth and sons are allurements of the life of this world: But the things that endure, good deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best as (the foundation for) hopes.

(18:17) Had you seen them in the Cave it would have appeared to you that when the sun rose, it moved away from their Cave to the right; and when it set, it turned away from them to the left, while they remained in a spacious hollow in the Cave. This is one of the Signs of Allah. Whomsoever Allah guides, he alone is led aright; and whomsoever Allah lets go astray, you will find for him no guardian to direct him.

A brother from another forum posted this, I thought I'd share it here.

format_quote Originally Posted by unreal prince from wup-forum.com

let’s find out inshaallah…

this surah has four stories in it,having some morals, lets see them and understand what they are saying to us:

1) the people of the cave
its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of allah and run away. -allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun - they woke up and found the entire village believers.

moral:trial of faith.

2) the owner of two gardens
a story of a man whom allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the one who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt allah regarding the afterlife.so his garden was destroyed - he regretted ,but was too late and his regret did not benefit him .

moral:trial of wealth.

3) musa(as) and khidr(as)
when musa(as) was asked-“who’s the most knowledgeable of the people of earth?”” musa(as) said:me…,but allah revealed to him that there’s someone who knows more than him.musa(as) traveled to the man and learnt how the divine wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad.

moral:trial of knowledge.

4) dhul-qarnayn
its a story of the great king that was given knowledge and power and was going around the world, helping people and spreading all that’s good.he was able to overcome the problem of yajooj-majooj and build a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.

moral:trial of power

in the middle allah mentions iblees as the one who stirs these trials:
behold! We said to the angels “bow down to adam”: They bowed down except iblis. He was one of the jinns, and he broke the command of his lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrongdoers!

now let us see what’s the relationship between surat al-kahf and the dajjal (anti-christ)?

dajjal will appear before day of judgement with the 4 trials:

***he’ll ask people to worship him and not allah:

trial of faith .

***he’ll be given powers to start/stop rain and tempt people with his wealth:

trial of with his wealth. .

***he’ll trial people with the “knowledge” and news he gives them:

trial of knowledge .

he’ll control huge parts of the earth.

trial of power .

how to survive these trials? The answers are in surat al-kahf

# survival kit 1: Good companionship.
“and keep thy soul content with those who call on their lord morning and evening, seeking his face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this life; no obey any whose heart we have permitted to neglect the remembrance of us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.” (surat al-kahf, verse 28)

# survival kit 2: Knowing the truth of this world.
“set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: It is like the rain which we send down from the skies: The earth’s vegetation absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: It is (only) allah who prevails over all things” (surat al-kahf, verse 45)

# survival kit 3: Humbleness.
“moses said: “thou wilt find me, if allah so will, (truly) patient: Nor shall i disobey thee in aught.””(surat al-kahf, verse 69)

# survival kit 4: Sincerity.
“say: “i am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your allah is one allah. Whoever expects to meet his lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his lord, admit no one as partner.” (surat al- kahf, verse 110)

# survival kit 5: Calling to allah.
“and recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the book of thy lord: None can change his words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than him.” (surat al-kahf, verse 27)

# survival kit 6: Remembering the hereafter.
“ one day we shall remove the mountains, and thou wilt see the earth as a level stretch, and we shall gather them, all together, nor shall we leave out any one of them. And they will be marshalled before thy lord in ranks, (with the announcement), “now have ye come to us (bare) as we created you first: Aye, ye thought we shall not fulfil the appointment made to you to meet (us)!”: And the book (of deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, “ah! Woe to us! What a book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof !” they will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy lord treat with injustice.” (surat al-kahf, verses 47-49)

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reports that the Prophet (saws) said: "Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on Jumu'ah will have illumination from the light from one Jumu'ah to the next." Related by an-Nasa'i, al-Baihaqi, and alHakim.

Don't forget to read Surah Kahf today..also remind others so you may also share their reward InshaAllah!

22. (Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth, guessing at the unseen; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say (O Muhammad ): "My Lord knows best their number; none knows them but a few." So debate not (about their number, etc.) except with the clear proof (which We have revealed to you). And consult not any of them (people of the Scripture, Jews and Christians) about (the affair of) the people of the Cave.

They will say there were three, the fourth of them being their dog; and they will say there were five, the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen; and they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog. Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord is most knowing of their number. None knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone."

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.

O Allah, let Your Peace come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
as you have brought peace to Ibrahim and his family.
Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family.
Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

It was narrated from Abu Darda’ :ra: that the Messenger of Allah :saws: said:
“Send a great deal of blessing upon me on Fridays, for it is witnessed by the angels. No one sends blessing upon me but his blessing will be presented to me, until he finishes them.” A man said: “Even after death?” He said: “Even after death, for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, so the Prophet of Allah is alive and receives provision.’” [Ibn Majah]

Asalamualykum,

If anyone know's arabic transalation please can you double check this below transalation for me - just want to make sure it's correct - jazahka Allah

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

(1) Alhamdu lillahi allathee anzala AAala AAabdihi alkitaba walam yajAAal lahu AAiwajan

18:1 All praise is due to Allah, Who has sent down to His servant the Book, and has not placed therein any crookedness.

(2) Qayyiman liyunthira basan shadeedan min ladunhu wayubashshira almumineena allatheena yaAAmaloona alssalihati anna lahum ajran hasanan 18:2 (He has made it) straight to give warning of a severe punishment from Him, and to give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they shall have a fair reward.

(3) Makitheena feehi abadan
18:3 They shall abide therein forever.

(4) Wayunthira allatheena qaloo ittakhatha Allahu waladan
18:4 And to warn those who say, "Allah has begotten a child."
(5) Ma lahum bihi min AAilmin wala liabaihim kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwahihim in yaqooloona illa kathiban
18:5 No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie.

(6) FalaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka AAala atharihim in lam yuminoo bihatha alhadeethi asafan
18:6 Perhaps, you would kill yourself in grief, over their footsteps, because they believe not in this narration.

(7) Inna jaAAalna ma AAala alardi zeenatan laha linabluwahum ayyuhum ahsanu AAamalan
18:7 Verily, we have made that which is on earth an adornment for it, in order that We may test which of them are best in deeds.

(8) Wainna lajaAAiloona ma AAalayha saAAeedan juruzan
18:8 And verily, We shall make all that is on it bare, dry soil.

(9) Am hasibta anna ashaba alkahfi waalrraqeemi kanoo min ayatina AAajaban
18:9 Do you think that the people of Al-Kahf and Ar-Raqim were a wonder among Our signs!

(10) Ith awa alfityatu ila alkahfi faqaloo rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi lana min amrina rashadan
18:10 When the young men fled for refuge to Al-Kahf. They said: "Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!"

(11) Fadarabna AAala athanihim fee alkahfi sineena AAadadan
18:11 Therefore, We covered up their hearing in Al-Kahf for a number of years.

(12) Thumma baAAathnahum linaAAlama ayyu alhizbayni ahsa lima labithoo amadan
18:12 Then We raised them up, that We might test which of the two parties was best at calculating the time period they tarried.

(13) Nahnu naqussu AAalayka nabaahum bialhaqqi innahum fityatun amanoo birabbihim wazidnahum hudan
18:13 We narrate unto you their story with truth: Truly, they were young men who believed in their Lord (Allah), and We increased them in guidance.

(14) Warabatna AAala quloobihim ith qamoo faqaloo rabbuna rabbu alssamawati waalardi lan nadAAuwa min doonihi ilahan laqad qulna ithan shatatan
18:14 And We made their hearts firm and strong when they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon any god other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief.

(15) Haolai qawmuna ittakhathoo min doonihi alihatan lawla yatoona AAalayhim bisultanin bayyinin faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban
18:15 These our people have taken for worship gods other than Him. Why do they not bring for them a clear authority! And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah.

(16) Waithi iAAtazaltumoohum wama yaAAbudoona illa Allaha fawoo ila alkahfi yanshur lakum rabbukum min rahmatihi wayuhayyi lakum min amrikum mirfaqan
18:16 (The young men said to one another:) "And when you withdraw from them, and that which they worship, except Allah, then seek refuge in the cave; your Lord will open a way for you from His mercy and will make easy for you your affair."

(17) Watara alshshamsa itha talaAAat tazawaru AAan kahfihim thata alyameeni waitha gharabat taqriduhum thata alshshimali wahum fee fajwatin minhu thalika min ayati Allahi man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadi waman yudlil falan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan
18:17 And you might have seen the sun, when it rose, declining to the right from their cave, and when it set, turning away from them to the left, while they lay in the midst of the cave. That is from the Ayat of Allah. He whom Allah guides, he is the rightly-guided; but he whom He sends astray, for him you will find no guardian to lead him.

(18) Watahsabuhum ayqathan wahum ruqoodun wanuqallibuhum thata alyameeni wathata alshshimali wakalbuhum basitun thiraAAayhi bialwaseedi lawi ittalaAAta AAalayhim lawallayta minhum firaran walamulita minhum ruAAban
18:18 And you would have thought them awake, whereas they were asleep. And We turned them on their right and on their left sides, and their dog stretching forth his two forelegs at the Wasid. Had you happened upon them, you would certainly have turned back from them in flight, and would certainly have been filled with awe of them.

(19) Wakathalika baAAathnahum liyatasaaloo baynahum qala qailun minhum kam labithtum qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAda yawmin qaloo rabbukum aAAlamu bima labithtum faibAAathoo ahadakum biwariqikum hathihi ila almadeenati falyanthur ayyuha azka taAAaman falyatikum birizqin minhu walyatalattaf wala yushAAiranna bikum ahadan
18:19 Likewise, We woke them that they might question one another.A speaker among them said: "How long have you stayed (here)!"They said: "We have stayed a day or part of a day".They said: "Your Lord knows best how long you have stayed (here). So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the town, and let him find out which is the Azka food, and bring some of that to you. And let him be careful and let no man know of you."

(20) Innahum in yathharoo AAalaykum yarjumookum aw yuAAeedookum fee millatihim walan tuflihoo ithan abadan
18:20 "For, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or turn you back to their religion; and in that case you will never be successful".
(21) Wakathalika aAAtharna AAalayhim liyaAAlamoo anna waAAda Allahi haqqun waanna alsaAAata la rayba feeha ith yatanazaAAoona baynahum amrahum faqaloo ibnoo AAalayhim bunyanan rabbuhum aAAlamu bihim qala allatheena ghalaboo AAala amrihim lanattakhithanna AAalayhim masjidan
18:21 And thus We made their case known, that they might know that the promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the Hour.(Remember) when they (the people) disputed among themselves about their case, they said: "Construct a building over them; their Lord knows best about them,'' (then) those who won their point said: "We verily, shall build a place of worship over them."

(22) Sayaqooloona thalathatun rabiAAuhum kalbuhum wayaqooloona khamsatun sadisuhum kalbuhum rajman bialghaybi wayaqooloona sabAAatun wathaminuhum kalbuhum qul rabbee aAAlamu biAAiddatihim ma yaAAlamuhum illa qaleelun fala tumari feehim illa miraan thahiran wala tastafti feehim minhum ahadan
18:22 They say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; and they say they were five, the dog being the sixth, guessing at the unseen; and they say they were seven, and the dog being the eighth.Say: "My Lord knows best their number; none knows them but a few".So debate not except with the clear proof. And consult not any of them (about the people of the Cave).

(23) Wala taqoolanna lishayin innee faAAilun thalika ghadan
18:23 And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow".

(24) Illa an yashaa Allahu waothkur rabbaka itha naseeta waqul AAasa an yahdiyani rabbee liaqraba min hatha rashadan
18:24 Except (with the saying), "If Allah wills!" And remember your Lord when you forget and say: "It may be that my Lord guides me to a nearer way of truth than this".

(25) Walabithoo fee kahfihim thalatha miatin sineena waizdadoo tisAAan
18:25 And they stayed in their cave three hundred years, adding nine.

18:26 Say: "Allah knows best how long they stayed. With Him is the unseen of the heavens and the earth.''How clearly He sees, and hears (everything)! They have no protector other than Him, and He makes none to share in His decision and His rule.

18:27 And recite what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad) of your Lord's Book. None can change His Words, and none will you find as refuge other than Him.

18:28 And keep yourself (O Muhammad) patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face; and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, and who follows his own lusts, and whose affair has been lost.

18:29 And say: "The truth is from your Lord.'' Then whosoever wills, let him believe; and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve.Verily, We have prepared for the wrongdoers, a Fire whose walls will be surrounding them. And if they ask for drink, they will be granted water like Al-Muhl, that will scald their faces. Terrible is the drink, and an evil Murtafaq!

(30) Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati inna la nudeeAAu ajra man ahsana AAamalan
18:30 Verily, as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, certainly We shall not make the reward of anyone to be lost who does his (righteous) deeds in the most perfect manner.

18:31 These! For them will be Jannatu `Adn; wherein rivers flow beneath them; therein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of Sundus and Istabraq. They will be Muttaki'in therein on Ara'ik.How good is the reward, and what an excellent Murtafaq!

18:32 And put forward to them the example of two men: unto one of them We had given two gardens of grapes, and We had surrounded both with date palms; and had put between them green crops (cultivated fields).

(33) Kilta aljannatayni atat okulaha walam tathlim minhu shayan wafajjarna khilalahuma naharan
18:33 Each of those two gardens brought forth its produce, and failed not in the least therein, and We caused a river to gush forth in the midst of both.

18:34 And he had Thamar, and he said to his companion in the course of discussion: "I am greater than you in wealth and have a mightier entourage.''

18:35 And he went into his garden while having been unjust to himself. He said: "I do not think that this will ever perish.''

(36) Wama athunnu alssaAAata qaimatan walain rudidtu ila rabbee laajidanna khayran minha munqalaban
18:36 "And I do not think the Hour will ever come, and if indeed I am brought back to my Lord, I surely, shall find better than this when I return to Him.''
(37) Qala lahu sahibuhu wahuwa yuhawiruhu akafarta biallathee khalaqaka min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma sawwaka rajulan
18:37 His companion said to him during his discussion: "Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you out of dust, then out of Nutfah, then fashioned you into a man!"

(38) Lakinna huwa Allahu rabbee wala oshriku birabbee ahadan
18:38 "But as for my part, (I believe) that He is Allah, my Lord, and none shall I associate as partner with my Lord."

18:39 "It was better for you to say, when you entered your garden: `That which Allah wills! There is no power but with Allah!' If you see me less than you in wealth, and children,''

18:42 So his fruits were encircled (with ruin). And began Yuqallibu his hands over what he had spent upon it, while it was all destroyed on its trellises, and he could only say: "Would that I had ascribed no partners to my Lord!"

18:44 There (on the Day of Resurrection), Al-Walayah will be for Allah (Alone), the True God. He (Allah) is the best for reward and the best for the final end.

18:45 And mention the parable of the worldly life: it is like the water which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later) it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allah is able to do everything.

18:46 Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last, are better with your Lord for reward and better for hope.

18:47 And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away, and you will see the earth as a leveled plain, and We shall gather them so that We will leave not one of them behind.

18:48 And they will be set before your Lord, aligned. (He will say:) "Now indeed, you have come to Us as We created you the first time. Nay, but you thought that We had appointed no meeting for you (with Us)."

18:49 And the Book will be produced, and you will see the criminals, fearful of that which is therein. They will say: "Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a large thing, but has recorded it with numbers!"And they will find all that they did, present, and your Lord treats no one with injustice.

18:50 And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam.'' So they prostrated themselves, except Iblis. He was one of the Jinn; he disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you then take him and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you What an evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers.

18:52 And (remember) the Day He will say: "Call those (so-called) partners of Mine whom you claimed." Then they will cry unto them, but they will not answer them, and We shall put Mawbiq between them.

18:54 And indeed We have given every kind of example in this Qur'an for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything.

18:55 And nothing prevents men from believing, while the guidance has come to them, and from asking forgiveness of their Lord, except that the ways of the ancients be repeated with them, or the torment be brought to them face to face.

18:56 And We send not the Messengers except as bearers of good news and warners. But those who disbelieve, argue with falsehood, in order to refute the truth thereby. And they take My Ayat and that which they are warned for jest!

18:57 And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayat (signs) of his Lord, but turns away from them, forgetting what his hands have sent forth. Truly, We have set over their hearts Akinnah, lest they should understand this (the Qur'an), and in their ears, deafness. And if you call them to guidance, even then they will never be guided.
