"The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'There is nobody who is afflicted with distress or grief and who says:-

Allaahumma inni 'abduka wa ibn 'abdika wa ibn amatika, naasiyati bi yadika maadin fiyya hukmuka 'adlun fiyya qadaa'uka, as'aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw asta'tharta bihi fi 'ilmi al-ghaybi 'indaka an taj'al al-Qur'aana rabee'a qalbi wa noor sadri wa jilaa'a huzni wa dhihaaba hammi

‘O Allaah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You name Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.’

- but Allaah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with ease.' He was asked, 'O Messenger of Allaah, should we not learn it?' He said, 'Of course, whoever hears it should learn it.'

(Ahmad (139/1), Ibn Hibbaan (2372), and Al-Haakim (509/1) Saheeh)

Dear sister regards duas, you can search them online but if you dont come across any that you would think is relevant or helpful to what u want to ask for then u simply sit down clear ur mind with true intention in your heart ask Allah swt with your own words.

making dua can be done in any language and in your own words it does not mean that there has to be a specific dua that you recite in order for your supplication to be answered.

In times of stress anxiety and restlessness the only think that gives me utter peace in reciting the Holy Qur'an especially Surah Rahman and Yasin I find tha ayat al kursi helps me too but then again that is just me but do give it a try and see InshaAllah Allah swt will do the same for you.

as regards dilemas i usually do istikhara, apparently there are a few ways of doing it from what i have been advised but the most common way is to do 2 rakah nafl after isha and then do your istikhara and then go to sleep and InshaAllah Allah swt will either guide you through dreams or if not then through dreams then through events that happen or how you feel. some say its only through dreams and if you do not dream the 1st night then do it the second night same exact thing and if still by the second night you dream nothing then do it the 3rd night and if you still dream nothing on the 3rd night then you should ask a more pious person to do it on your behalf.

But i pray that InshaAllah Allah swt guides you and helps resolve all your matters for you.

This is the istikhara prayer: Something i always do before starting my istikhara prayer is making my intention known to Him on what it is that i need guidace in, not that Allah swt doesnt already know but it just helps me i guess.

"O Allah, I ask You to show me what is best, through Your knowledge, and I ask You to empower me, through Your power, and I beg You to grant me Your tremendous favor, for You have power, while I am without power, and You have knowledge, while I am without knowledge, and You are the One who knows all things invisible.

Allahumma inni astakhiru-ka bi-'ilmi-ka wa astaqdiru-ka bi-qudrati-ka wa as'alu-ka min fadli-ka 'l-'azim fa-inna-ka taqdiru wa la aqdiru wa ta'lamu wa la a'lamu wa Anta 'Allamu 'l-ghuyub :

O Allah, if You know that this undertaking is in the best interests of my religion, my life in this world, and my life in the Hereafter, and can yield successful results in both the short term and the long term, then make it possible for me and make it easy for me, and then bless me in it.

Allahumma in kunta ta'lamu anna hadha 'l-amra khairun li fi dini wa dunyaya wa akhirati wa 'aqibati amri wa 'ajili-hi wa ajili-h :fa-'qdir-hu li wa yassir-hu li thumma barik li fi-h :

If not, then turn it away from me, and make it easy for me to do well, wherever I may happen to be, and make me content with Your verdict, O Most Merciful of the merciful.'"

wa illa fa-'srif-hu 'an-ni wa yassir liya 'l-khaira haithu kana ma kuntu wa raddi-ni bi-qada'i-ka ya Arhama 'r-rahimin :

I pray that this helps you InshaAllah.
