Well, I've found this online. Ma-ariful Qur'an.
I've got the books and masha'allah it's an excellent read.
I didn't know you could get DVD's of tafsirs. Hmm...

Well, I've found this online. Ma-ariful Qur'an.
I've got the books and masha'allah it's an excellent read.
I didn't know you could get DVD's of tafsirs. Hmm...

I have this, it is authored by Mufti Usmani R.A. father of Mufti Taqi Usmani and re-editted by Mufti Taqi (I prefer it to many many others)

^^ Yeah, I was recommended this book by the Mufti of my old school when I asked him what would be the best type of tafseer to read.
He said this is the best book for the layman. As in, I wanted to purchase Ibn Kathir's tafsir, but he said that Ibn Kathir is more suited to those who are in the sixth year of their Aalim/aalimah course if I remember correctly. I currently only have 6 volumes. I just need two more parts now, Insha'allah.

I'm also looking for a good tafsir book. The problem is that there are a lot
of sects who claim to be muslims and follow our Profet Mohammad (saw)
But the truth is that they are on the side track. This scares me everytime I want to buy a book about islam. Because our Profet Mohammad (saw) there will be 73 sects who claim to be muslims. Thats a lot if dont you think? If all those sects writing books. How do I and a lot of others know which book to buy??
I find it hard to find the right book. One who is writting by a true Muslim.
Can you give me some good names of writters and tell me where I can buy these books? And is the tafsir book of Ibn Kathir okey to read?

^^In that case Mar'ariful Qur'an is the best. The language used is simple and easy to understand. Ibn Kathir requires that you have a lot of knowledge before reading it. You don't want to misinterpret what the author says.
