View Full Version : My thread of poems

As Salaam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Think

Closed doors blocked my view,
the view of of what life could be.
The scent of roses I never knew,
and concept of peace I could never see.

I stood facing this door most of my life.
I kept my tears for later.
untill my role as an innocent wife,
was ended by my Creator.

Twise not once, but once too many.
I always asked my soul to soften.
My memories of love are few if any,
twice not once but once too often.

I've learnt to forgive but to forget is not real.
I seek my pride in where it is high.
It's where the closed door used to conceal,
deep in my tears that I carefully cry.

I dont hate the men that hurt me,
nor do I wish them harm.
For they will soon come to see,
They cant persuade Allah Taala with their charm.

I am 22 but I'm old, in the sense that I know pain.
So what ever hurts me now in life, it's all cool.
My morals and dignity forever remain,
as long as I follow one simple rule.

To move on....thats all anyone can do.
To dwell on our hurt, we basically die.
Now I am able to say and it's true,
I was cured by my Lord, because He told me to cry.

sis i'll post some of ur poems that u have posted before. if u dont mind.

Where Would I Be Without The Quran?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I be guided?
Would I be strong?
Would I be protected from evil and wrong?
Would I hear my Creator's Words?
Would I hear Him describe the birds?
Would I know the stories of the old?
Would I realise their worth in gold?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I find safety when others fear?
Would I find peace whilst sitting here?
Would I be happy when others are sad?
Would I be protected from going mad?
Would I be patient when things get tough?
Would I be firm when the seas are rough?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I get to know the One above?
Would I increase for him my love?
Would I be aware of the Day to come?
Would I value what is worthless to some?
Would I be able to sleep at night?
Would I be able to see with His light?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I have examples to follow?
Would I rejoice when others are in sorrow?
Would I have fear of the Burning Fire?
Would I be at the bottom of the sea,
And have hope, that one day, my Lord will release me?

Just Why?

Why do you question my smile?
Why do you feel nervous around me?
Why do you frown at my my dress code and style?
Why can't you see the peace that surrounds me?

Why do you walk faster if I happen to be behind you?
Why do you hold tight to your kids like I'm gonna explode?
Do you think only you can show love that is real and true?
You think only one race can walk down this road?

Why are you threatened by my pride and my way?
Why do you hate when I'm near you?
Why do you mock how I worship and pray?
Why? when you are yearning a peace like mine so true.

Why does our Book scare you?
Too many answeres without you needing to ask?
Science was never a stong point at school?
Is reading it a heart breaking task?

Why can't you see that we are very alike, we believe in the Books of God?
We worship One and we pray every day and fast and give to the poor!
why can't you see that T.V turns our belief into fraud?
If you'd just open your eyes to our connection so sure!

Why wont you hear me out when I say we're all about peace?
Why is it that you look over all the good that we do?
No nation is pure and sinless with no crease!
Respect me please, as I respect you!

Reflection

The wind my armour, the sky my shade.
The sea my rock ,the soil my blade.
The fear my fuel,the sound my food.
The rythm, my step, steel my blood.
My breath the lions roar.
My eyes, the past's reflection.
My key to deaths black door.
My soul awaiting Allah Taala correction.
My oath, my swear.
My smile through despair.
My fist a handful of hate.
My heart beckoning its fate.
The vibration of the call.
To stand up high or fall.
The shadows whisper pity as the mirror says it all.

Poles of light

Poles of light on the masjid floor
Another world through an open door
Im alive and this is now my faith
For the first time
Maybe I can relate

Bowing down as I touch my knees
Thinking about world there to see
Deep inside I feel my soul on fire
To serve is my one desire

Close together in the front row
I remember how the foreign words would flow
Tune my ears into another tongue
How could people ever think its wrong

Daylight comes as I know I it would
On my knees praying like I knew
I would do anything of thats asked
If I thought this breath was to be my last

The Dream

Love, if I weep it will not matter,
And if you laugh I shall not care;
Foolish am I to think about it,
But it is good to feel you there.

Love, in my sleep I dreamed of waking,
White and awful the moonlight reached
Over the floor, and somewhere, somewhere
There was a shutter loose- it screeched!

Swung in the wind and no wind blowing
I was afraid and turned to you,
Put out my hand to you for comfort-
And you were gone! Cold as the dew,

Under my hand the moonlight lay!
Love, if you laugh I shall not care,
But if I weep it will not matter-
Ah, it is good to feel you there.

Perfect

I always wonder; is it ever worth it?
To try and strive to be ever so perfect?

Who determines what perfect is and what isn't?
Who truly is so happy and lives so pleasant?

Who has never cheated, lied, hurt or has been hurt
Yet still is sweet and kind, and knows what a soul is worth?

Which mortal has lived heaven on earth?
Who can live and say, I will never die from the day of birth?

That sounds too good to be perfect.
Let me help define how a human is perfect.

Perfect is being able to forgive and forget,
To be able to realize your mistakes and repent,

To realize our bad, and promise to never do it again,
But then again, we're only humans in the end.

Delicate soul

Delicate soul of perfumed silk battered off the cold rocks in the ocean of trials.
Desperate calls of mercy as the wind howls calls of warning against shallow hearts and smiles.
Rain of wisdom and dust of honor that keep the soul alive.
Mind of thoughts and feelings locked in, with faith that hope will soon arrive.
Heart so tender, eyes so red, blood that pumps in pain.
Watch the future unfold, a sad story told of man who lived in vain.
Delicate soul of perfumed silk, aim high in peace and ease.
Rise up from your anguish, rise up from your knees.
Regret will bring you nowhere but never let it leave you.
Hold the past in the palm of your hand,out of your heart where it can hurt you.

Before Dawn

For the Mujahidoon

We are sleeping,
Tucked away in our beds of Solitude,
a distant call rings in our ears,
A passing sound of mixed up dreams,

There is no end to this complacency,
no want for something more,
for this is all there is,
We are but foam upon the shore,

We sleep so soundly until,
there will come crashing waves on waves,
the dissipation of the foam,
the hearkening of the slaves,

we are asleep,
though we are not dead,
we will return,
when that call will raise us early from this bed.

And those who pray Fajr

Stand strong upon the mountain

Stand strong upon the mountain
For truth is on your side
Though the ground appears to break
and the earth is opening wide

Stand strong upon the mountain
Our Deen is there to guide
Though the world appears to shake
Your very heart from deep inside

Stand strong upon the mountain
Those words so well revealed
Though the world will always doubt
Use that age old shield

Stand strong upon the mountain
That evil can’t abide
Though it wants to fight the truth
Allah’s on your side

Stand strong upon the mountain
Even death can’t reach you there
Though it tries to make you fear
Go forth without a care

The Hajj

And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj). [Al-Hajj 22:27]

The Hajj - A Poem
by Imâm Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

The Hajj - The Journey

By Him whose House the loving pilgrims visit,
Responding with ihram at the appointed limit,
Uncovering their heads in total humility
Before One to Whom faces bow in servility.
They exclaim in the valleys, "We have responded to You -
All Praise is Yours, and Kingdom too!"
He invited and they answered, with love and pleasure;
When they called upon Him, nearer came the Divine treasure.
You see them on their mounts, hair dusty and dishevelled,
Yet never more content, never happier have they felt;
Leaving homelands and families due to holy yearning,
Unmoved are they by temptations of returning.
Through plains and valleys, from near and far,
Walking and riding, in submission to Allah.

At the Ka’bah

When they see His House - that magnificent sight
For which the hearts of all creatures are set alight -
It seems they’ve never felt tired before,
For their discomfort and hardship is no more.
Now the eye of the Lover drowns in its streams,
It sees through its tears the goal of its dreams;
Now for Allah, how many tears are issued,
Each one being followed by a multitude?
When the eye perceives the House, its darkness clears,
And from the sorrowful heart, pain disappears;
Vision cannot encompass this beautiful sight:
Each glance returns with greater delight!
No wonder at this, for when the Merciful preferred
The House for Himself, it became most honoured.
He clothed it in Majesty, a magnificent garment;
Embroidered it with Beauty, a wonderful ornament!
The hearts all love the House therefore,
Awed and humbled, in respect and honour.

‘Arafat

Now to ‘Arafat, hoping for Mercy and Forgiveness
From the One overflowing with Generosity and Kindness;
Now for Allah is that Magnificent Standing
Like, though lesser than, the Day of Reckoning.
The Irresistible draws near, His Majesty manifest,
Boasting to His angels, for He is the Mightiest,
"My slaves have come to Me so lovingly,
I’ll be Generous and Merciful, willingly.
I have forgiven their sins, – to this you are witness –
Fulfilled their hopes, and showered them with goodness.
" So joyous news! O people of that standing,
When sins are forgiven and Mercy is spreading;
How many slaves are set completely free?
Whilst others seek a cure, and heal will He.
Now Satan is never known to lose such face:
He’s blameworthy, rejected, in utter disgrace.
For he sees a matter that enrage him must:
He flees, slaps his face and covers it in dust!
Such Forgiveness he never did see
As granted by the Lord, and such Mercy!
He built his edifice from every temptation available
Till he thought it was complete, unassailable;
Then Allah struck his building at its very foundation,
So it fell upon him, tumbling in devastation;
What worth has his structure, this evil ploy,
That he does build, and the Lord does destroy?

Muzdalifah & Mina

Now to Muzdalifah, to spend the night
In the Sacred Area, then Prayer at first light;
Now on to the Great Pillar, which they need
To stone at the time of the Prayer of ‘Id;
Now to their tents for the sacrifice prepared,
Reviving the tradition of a Father revered.
If sacrificing themselves were Allah’s demand,
They would respond, submitting to the command;
Just as they’d expose their necks in Jihad
To Allah’s enemies, till these stream with blood;
They discipline themselves, presenting the head for a shave:
Bringing humility and happiness to the obedient slave.

The Tawaf of Ifadah/Ziyarah

So when they’ve removed those natural growths,
Completed their rites, and fulfilled their oaths,
He invites them again to visit His House:
What honour and welcome this visit allows!
By Allah, they visit it in so much splendour,
Receiving their rewards and plenty of honour;
There Allah bestows Grace, Favour and Kindness,
Showing Generosity, Mercy and Forgiveness.

Mina

Then they return to Mina, each to his tent,
Every minute wish is granted, and they are content;
They stay there a day, then another, then a third,
They’re allowed to depart early, but to stay is preferred;
They stone the pillars daily after the sun’s decline,
With a slogan of Takbir in the presence of the Divine!
If only you could see their standing there:
Palms outstretched, hoping for Mercy’s share!
"O Lord! O Lord! Knowing as You do
That we hope for no-one, only You!
Then grant our wish, O You All-Knowing,
We pray for Your Mercy overflowing."

The Farewell Tawaf

When they’ve achieved at Mina all their gains,
Once more they fill the valleys and plains:
To the Ka’bah, the Sacred House, by the end of the day,
To circle it seven times, and then to Pray.
When departure nears and they are certain
That the bond of proximity is about to loosen,
There’s only a last stand for a final farewell:
Now for Allah are the eyes that swell,
And for Allah are the heavy hearts that turn
Into cauldrons of desire where fire does burn;
And the passionate sighs whose heat so vigorous
Nearly melts the Lover, ecstatic, rapturous!
Now you see those bewildered, perplexed in the throng,
Whilst others chant their sorrowful song:
"I depart, but there remains for You my yearning,
My fire of grief is raging and burning;
I bid farewell, but longing pulls my reins -
My heart is encamped in Your eternal plains!"
No blame today for saying what you feel:
No blame for expressing what you used to conceal!

A Majestic Sight: the Holy Kaabah

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficient, the Merciful

The powerful, dazzling, majestic sight,
Which befalls all day and night
As far as you can see is...
It standing with all power and might.
Enter the realm and LO!... BEHOLD!
There stands the power; dressed in black and gold,
Your tears would turn to laughs of joy
And on Islam, you would have a better hold.

All the creations revolving around,
Even the sun, the sky, the ground!
All eyes on the magnificient house,
To keep looking at it, you are bound.

No sight equal in the world there is,
Than looking at it and entering bliss!!
For seeing this sight you're bound to know,
That there is ALLAH, and Islam is this.

From this blissful experience I know
That from all the rivers of religions that flow...
Islam is truly the one that's pure,
In front of ALLAH, down I bow!

Forgive me Allah

:arabic6:
Forgive me Allah
For the wrongs I have done
For anger I shouldn't have
Against anyone

I know I'm weak Allah
But I love You, I really do
And in spite of my weakness
I know You love me too

Forgive me for not reading
Forgive us for not practising
Forgive us for not implementing Your eternal Words
While society at large suffer
From the ommission of our submission

Oh Allah let us come to the understanding
Only with Your Deen can humanity Prevail
And me for the times that I stray
Forgive me for being too tired
When I don't take the time to pray
While my Ummah lay in shame
With ignorance i forget your way

Give me the strength, Oh Allah!
To do what I should each day
Let Your love shine through me
So others will follow Your way

Even though I've failed You Allah
I know You'll forgive me
And this I promise Lord
A better Muslim I will be

For Your presence is in me
Filling my heart with Your love
And I have Your reassurance
You're guiding us from above

I love You Allah, and thank You
For the limitless blessings You bestow
I must tell others about You
So Your goodness they too, will know
Forgive me Ya Allah
Forgive and Guide this Ummah.
Victory is Promised by You
Make us worthy of it Ya Allah.

mashallah another nice poem.
Beautiful Poem!
:arabic6:
~In The Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful~

All Praise be to the one who Created us;
There are some who make His existence a fuss;
Those who disbelieve in Him, they are in Loss;

In this life we have a test;
The question: whose fear of Allah is the best?
To worship him is our quest.

Time and Time again we are faced with situations;
In which we must make tough decisions;
Fools are we, we think we're so smart;
shaytan attacks us with many ideas like darts;
According to him, we plan and chart;
Not knowing that he is poisoning our hearts;
The time comes when we realize the mistake in our Parts;
One last chance!, for some the tauba starts;

Even still, some don't ask of His Forgiveness;
They don't realize that they're in a big mess;
Never do they ask of Allah's Mercy;
They have eyes, but can they really see?;

There are also the righteous however;
Forget to ask Allah?, NEVER!;
They ask Allah in every endeavor;
To help them as part of His Favor;
Then, even if they are affected by Shaytans call;
They are not hurt by the hard fall;
They quickly get back up, standing tall;
Racing to gain forgiveness from The Merciful;
Allah promised to answer the caller's call;

Take a lesson from the fitra of the child;
With the lesson of walking they are trialed;
Yes, they do fall, but they are not beguiled;
They get back up and take a step;
Maybe again they accidentally trip;
But they stand up again and get a grip;
More and more steps take place;
Before you realize it, they are walking with so much grace;

An example for us, as we grow in our age and Deen;
Like the baby, hard challenges we have seen;
As the baby walks with so much grace;
We should also pick up our pace;
We are travelers, there is no question;
To Allah is our ultimate destination!

May the Prayers and blessings of Allah be on His beloved;
and on the companions who prayed and strived;
That the Deen of Allah might be carried on to those who came later;
On high thrones will they be raised in the hereafter;

Advice on Friends!

A real friend wishes his companions well,
He's not one who allows them to get close to hell,
Always be careful of the friends you Choose,
So, in the end, Jannah you will not lose,
If you find your companion is not stopping your wrong,
then, be weary, his friendship is not strong.
If you see the pattern made,
that when you are under your friend's shade,
Your Imaan begins to fade,
Leave the worthless creation,
make friends with Allah, Surely that is a high station!.
A dervish who had knowledge of our present situation,
Once told his students the following dictation,
"The meeting of people will never enrich you,
save with the gibberish of useless gossip.
So diminish your meeting with people,
except for knowledge or to improve your condition"

Believe!.....(to those who disbelieve)

You ask for signs? You doubt the fire?
You search your soul and it's tue desire.
You live your days confused and alone.
You hate the world and its angry tone.
You've witnessed hurt and lies and bad,
Can't comprehend the life you had.

You blame the one whose easiest to blame.
You blame Allah Taala because you think He wont confront.
Your heart is aware of this pointless game.
You dodge the facts but its your own soul that you hunt.
Your seeking truth with your eyes shut closed.
You mocked your Lord while your concience imposed.
You swore at believers though you envied their pride.
You disgraced your enemies when you were on their side.
You drink and eat and breath and sleep,
Without effort nor struggle but the pain that you keep.
You're free to let go when ever you please.
The door is locked but you have the keys.
All around you, above and below you,
Signs of Allah Taala most perfect designs.
Your Lord is with you when you believe.

Just open the Book...the holder of signs.
Read,Read in the name of your Lord who created thee from a single clot.
Read to see truth and feel it in the broken heart that you've got.
Don't mock what you envy when you can have it all!
Don't hate life cuz you were too weak to rise from your fall.
Don't doubt the heart that beats for your chances...
But you still blow them off with no second glances.
Don't let pride and the past decide,
weather you're happy or completely dead inside.
Listen to your head for once today.

Your soul is yearning for your shell to pray.
It's time to rest, it's time to see.
swallow your hate, it's time to agree.
Allah Taala is there, you were wrong.
You are weak and want to be strong.
We created war, not Allah Taala , so know...
We destroyed earth with our selfish show.
We kill and starve the poor before us,
then expect our Allah Taala to love and adore us?
Wake up and feel some shame.
You'd wanna be blind not to see who's to blame.
Allah Taala gave you a law you chose not to follow.
So now we are paying in this man made sorrow!

Even Still

Over time things change, but never the heart,
can't seem to move on, still torn apart.

Offers to marry, someone to take care of the two,
I'll never be a good wife, to none other than you.

I still cry at night, when the babies lay rest,
Allah has definatly put me to the test.

Heard your face was bright, filled with light
I wish I could've seen you
on that crazy night.
To see for myself, what I pray is true,
a beautiful man seeing his life anew.

She asks for you, out of the blue
What can I say? but that we will see him soon,
"daddys taking too long"
I tell her look at the moon.

Allah made that, and you and me,
he took daddy, just let things be.
One day soon you will see,
another time, another place,
and then we'll be free.

Don't be sad loving, Daddys here
I point to her heart
and tell her don't fear.

We are all still in pain
I just sit starring at the rain.

What do I say and what do I do,
I keep trying to figure out things
but im always blue.

Greatful for Allah, that He is in our lives,
without Him I know I would never be able to survive.

Pain and tears,
but hope for Bliss
even still,
its you I miss.

Whoa, ma sha Allah! Can't believe it, ma sha Allah. Pretty touching the part where the children are mentioned. :-(

I agree with ukhti najla on verses she quoted, great.

FREE?

Despite this world we live in,
the clothes we wearing,
and the lives we living,
A life, we think we are free
But Nay verily let us open our heart,
And uncover the truth,
Let Us See.
We are invisblly Shackled,
To glittry world which inside rottens.
Free? Free? I Ask!
Open you covered heart,
Be Amongst Thee.
Let us do our Task.
Indeed The times is to long until I breathe.
Let us meet in Jannah (Al-Firdaws)
Please let us water the flower (Islam).
In Allah We believe , With His power.
My Blood Will Shed For A Lord And Mighty Religion (InshaAllah).

When the time comes

When that time comes, it is too late,
To take back all those words of hate.
To reflect on all the things you did wrong,
To wish you hadn't listened to that last song.
Death can catch us all by surprise,
Remember that the next time you tell your lies.
Remember that the next time you're at the club,
Or when you eat meat from Subway.
Is this how you want to be resurrected on Judgement Day?
Being brought up to your Lord in such a shameful way?
No one is guaranteed to live until tomorrow,
When we pass away it brings our family great sorrow.
Why not leave your family with great respect and dignity,
Instead of mother saying "I wish she listened to me".
The care-free, shame-less, lifestyle is beautified be the west,
But all I can say is Allah knows best.
Which brings me back to one question:
Why would you want to die in such a shameful way,
Only to be resurrected like that on Judgement Day.

Cold As You

You have a way of coming easily to me
And when you take, you take the very best of me
So I start a fight cause I need to feel
Something and you do what you want cause I'm
Not what you wanted

Oh What a shame, what a rainy ending given to a perfect day
Just walk away, ain't no use defending words that you will never say
And now that i'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been anywhere as cold as you

You put up walls and point them out
A shade of grey
And i stood there loving you and wished them all away
And you came away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with
The nerve to adore you

Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending to a perfect day
Just walk away, ain't not use defending words that you will never say
And now that i'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been as cold as you

You never did give who cares thing honey
But I cried, cried for you
And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died, died for you

Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending to a perfect day
Just walk away, ain't no use defending words that you will never say
And now that i'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been as cold as you

I'VE NEVER BEEN AS COLD.....
AS YOU

Insomnia

I cannot get to sleep tonight.
I toss and turn and flop.
I try to count some fluffy sheep
while o’er a fence they hop.
I try to think of pleasant dreams
of places really cool.
I don’t know why I cannot sleep—
I slept just fine at school.

Thats was about when I was 14 years old! :uhwhat

Menagerie

A pussycat that quack, quack, quacks.
A bird that says meow.
A doggy that says oink, oink, oink.
A duck that says bow wow.
A pony that sniffs catnip.
A turkey that eats fries.
A cow that drinks a milk shake.
A turtle that loves pies.

A timberwolf that yodels.
A bear that rides a bike.
An ape that juggles melons.
A pig that loves to hike.

They’re just so entertaining—
I like them more than sheep.
I count them and I’m smiling
as I drift off to sleep.

Is Night gentle?

Night closes doors forever
Night cures my soul as a medicine
In Night should’nt be doubted ever
Night sense increases to everything
At Night you can shed your tears
At night we are flying to planets
At Night always deadens fears
At Night we are full of violence
At Night you will close embraces –
And Night this caress will cover
At Night you’ll remove your dresses
And Allah Taala blessing be upon you, my dears.
In Night rises dizziness and passion
At Night you’re with itself alone
At Night - reign, you’re free in action
At Night nothing keeps in your soul
Night reconciles spirits, right you’re
At Night it is useless to wager

In Night it is stuffy and frightful
Tonight I shall leave you like voyager...

Be It As It May

May the winds blow for you as a gentle breeze.
May the sun warm you by day when you pray on your knees.
May the rain prosper your harvest and refresh you too.
May the Allah Taala guide you, bless you and protect you.
May the eleventh hour bring a miracle for you in discression.
May the circle complete to perfection in your direction.
May your guests find you in hospitable employment.
May your activities bring you entertainment, pleasure and enjoyment.
May Allah Taala provide for you even during unemployment.
May the moon light your way after dark.

May your path be laden with flowers and a grassy park,
May your fears be relayed.
May you seldom if ever feel dismayed.
May your anxiety be appeased.
May your karma be pleased.
May any door be opened for you in affirmative.
May a cul-de-sac still offer an alternative.
May seed you plant flourish.
May your rights be respected to nourish.
May your waters flow smoothly in ability.

May the ocean’s waves treat you with tranquility.
May you remain humble even if king or nobility.
May narratives be of interest to you harmoniously.
May the nasheeds you listen to be met receptively as being melodiously.
May time prove to be ample and sufficient sans deletion.
May your stock never diminish to completion.
May your visions be remarkable and able.
May your secrets remain just that fable.
May your structures be stable.
May your games be victorious.
May you live for all eternity in Allah Taala’s kingdom glorious.
All these blessings I wish for you.
And I pray to Allah Taala above to grant you countless others too.

Pleasure By The Nature

Nature brings a colourful beauty to one’s heart,
It flies in our hearts like colourful butterfly,
It strengthens the hearts with huge wings to fly,
A beautiful creature lives in the heart of nature.

A life is not enough to enjoy the whole nature,
Each and every part of the Universe comes under nature,
The nature is part of existence of human life,
Without the nature, there will be no future.

The nature survives the lives with pleasure,
The beautiful nature is a creator of great desire,
The fine nature lives with us and lives in us,
It brings many dreams and memories to us.

Oh Allah Taala! We are thankful for gifting us a pleasant nature,
It is one’s responsibility to save the beauty of nature,
A true living in the heart of nature helps an achiever,
To achieve the long life period of his splendid desire.
