Tried to be positive

And making many give up
Surrender
And conform to societal dogmas

She asked her mum
Who said never
Anger and rage
Made her forget her manners
She argued fervently
But it was in vain

She felt the pain
For days and weeks
Felt unable to sleep
Weep
Was all she did
Treated like a kid
But she was determined

Time will tell
And bring changes
People change
All the time
But not her mum
Because she’s full of pride and arrogance

Although she’s was defiant
She must submit to reality
And accept the statos quo

So she said goodbye
But he didn’t want to let go
Accused her of cowardice and betrayal
They debated
His anger dissipated
They said goodbye
Tears overflowed

They pledged love and loyalty
And marriage
In the next life
When she will be his only wife

They moved on
Made a pact
No contact
When they felt a longing
A sense of belonging
In each others company
Only make dua for each other

After time
They moved on
Met others and got married
Kids and family
But always thought of each other
Coz their love was deeply connected
Even though society rejected
And it was doomed

So their love will never die
And they look forward to leaving this life
And flying
To the next world
Free from prejudice and pain
And live for eternity
In each others arms
