I got this in an email and thought it might be useful here

PLEASE READ TO THE END
Dearly respected Brothers & sister's in Islam
Assalaamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh
I would like to take this opportunity to advise you that Allah Ta'ala is
infinite in HIS grace & mercy.
When a person relays & forwards any message of deen to another Muslim, then
he /she will undoubtebly be rewarded by AllahTa'ala. How much reward is
given, is totally upto Allah Ta'ala & is partially dependant on how sincere
the person giving advice is.
However recently it has been noticed that many emails/sms/texts have this
little notice at the end of them which say things like; 'if you send this
email to x amount of people then you will see some miracle that day/night'
or 'you will get a certain amount of wealth' or 'something good will happen
to you' or 'you or your family may be saved from some evil/harm' etc etc
etc.
Please keep in mind the following Hadeeth of Nabi(sallallahu
alaihi wasallam): 'If the entire creation had to gather to harm you & Allah
Ta'ala intends no harm for you, then no harm can befall you and if the
entire creation wants to benefit you & Allah Ta'ala does not want you to be
benefitted, then no benefit can come to you'
'PLEASE PLEASE, for Allah's sake, avoid forwarding such hoax emails as this
could lead you into sin rather then to reward as no one can tell what the
future holds for anyone, besides Allah Ta'ala. Do not become frightened with
emails threatening loss of wealth & loss of family because 'you never
forwarded' the email/text!!! No such thing existed
in the time of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) & nothing like this is
advised of by Ulama` in todays times.
Jazakumullahu-khair for taking the time to read this.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could kindly forward this to ALL
Muslims in your address book.
Was-salaam
