Yanoora's thread prompted this question:

When a Muslim has broken the fast, is there still any remit in continuing the fast for the rest of the day, even if it has been broken?
Or might you just as well forget about the day, eat as much as you like, and do another day's fast at another time?

I think that's the answer... but dont eat in front of fasting people...it's considered as rude. In Malaysia, you can be caught for eating in the public.

What is the punishment for eating in public during Ramadan, Malaysia?
Does the same apply to non-Muslims?

Fine, maybe several hundred ringgits... but the most embarassing thing is that when you're caught ...you must hold your food that you're eating and everybody in that place knew that you're not fasting when you're taken to the religious council trucks/vans. In some towns, those peoples are paraded all over the town in a funeral car.

It's only applicable to Muslims. How did these Muslims were caught by the religious officers.... phone calls...sometimes from Non-Muslims.
