Shabbir Akhtar?

I found an interesting book recently (hello: If you don't remember me I'm the agnostic studying Islam) written by an Islamic Philosopher called, "The Qur'an: And the Secular Mind". It's very interesting. Does anyone know anything about him or have any oppinions?
