:sl:

If anyone is interested in learning Arabic in Yemen, in the various institutes out there let me know, I can direct you in the right way inshaAllah. It is one of the best places to learn Arabic, as the local dialect is very close to the classical Arabic, fushaa, unlike many other countries such where people go to learn like Egypt!

You can ask me here or PM regarding the Arabic institutes or anything else regarding Yemen, except qaat!

Hope that helps :D

I don't work on a commission based or anything like that for any of these institutes so I hope my advice can be impartial.

The institutes are as follows:

www.sialyemen.com - an offshoot of CALES

http://www.calesyemen.com - affliated to the University of Science and Technology

http://www.sibawaih.com.ye - a new institute, small

http://www.m-al-m.com - Salaafi orientated institutes with links to Damaaj school

http://www.arabicinyemen.com/ - mainly an English language institute

http://www.ylcint.com - the oldest Arabic institute in Yemen

http://www.yialarabic.com -this is a new institute, so don't really know anything about it

If your a Sufi, then there's plenty of institutes in Hadramawth!

Actually, if you are serious of checking out one of these institutes, you can PM or email me on info@sanaa-apartments.com and I will give impartial advice, before that, don't choose one over the over! However, what I can help you with is accommodation in Sana'a as I have some apartments to rent out, see www.sanaa-apartments.com

Well, as in most countries, everything happens in the capital. So most institutes are in Sana'a, I heard there was an institute in Aden, but it doesn't specialise in Arabic -it's mainly an English institute for the locals. Do let me know if you come across any though.

So I hear your Yemeni and I guess your from Aden? If you don't mind hot, extremly humid weather and like the beach front, you'll like Aden. However Sana'a has the best weather in the world!

Actually, it depends who you speak to as there is iktilaaf on this issue of qaat amongst the scholars. The Saudi scholars deem it haram, whilst their counterparts in Yemen, don't seem to agree. Though it's clear for me.

Well, it's in Sana'a, a place called Da'iri. It's the stepping stone for our salafi brothers before they shoot off to places like Damaaj or elsewhere. It has a lot of Muslims from the UK and US. It's in a masjid called "Sharqaain", with the upper floor holding Arabic classes.

What would you like to know specifically?

Assalam alaikum, can you please tell me SialYemen.com, Sana'a Institute for the Arabic Language. I understand they have optional Islamic/Qur'an classes there, do you know anything about those?

Also, can you tell me any general information about the school or how students like it?

JazakhAllah khair!
