sometimes i get a bad/good feeling that something is going to happen to me. and sometimes it does...for example, i may wake up with a feeling that something bad is going to happen to me that day-and sometimes it does happen...

so is there anything in the quan and sunnah that proves that what im feeling is right...

anyway maybe sometimes you wake up feeling something good is going to happen because the way you feel or a reflection of the previous day?

i dont think anyone can predict the future or know what will happen to them on a certain day only Allah knows, its probably a coincidence what happens to you.

I dont know what to say really. Some people do have stronger 'sixth senses' than others..and some are just utterly sceptical of the existence of such senses.

I dont know if your positioning of this situation is helping you analyse it at all. What i mean to say is, sometimes you may get a really bad feeling inside you and just feel really edgy inside. I believe in that...coz it is your god given ruh feeling the pressure of something evil to come..im pretty sure there is islamic evidence on that...but i am not one to search for it. Its pretty late here where I come from. I should go catch some z's.

But what you are doing..which sort of sounds like you are adding a casual-ness to this situation, doesnt sound right. to "wake up in the morning" and just feel a certain way shouldnt and probably doesnt predict the forthcomings of the day. good and bad things happen everyday. If you wake up dwelling on a certain predisposed emotion, you will dwell on the bad, or, they will come across as bad..etc..i think what Im trying to say (with very bad syntax and grammar) is that it is probably psychological. Just dnt think about it. when you wake up, make a little dua and wish for the best. the sun brings with it a new day..a new page...which should not have presidposed emotions attached to it. Let the day reveal itself objectively and as it does, you approach the happenings subjectively.

:sl: Hey sis i have feelings like that all the time. It is like a sixth sense where i feel something bad is going to happen and it does. Some people have a very strong intuition or sixth sense and i think women in general have very strong intuitions. They can sense when something is wrong, eg a feeling of badness is not predicting your future as someone above had said.

The day my sis passed away i was sad all day, couldn't stop crying and didn't know why i was crying, then we got the news.
When one of my kids are suffering or something bad about them i can sense it.
My marraige, i had a bad feeling that something was going to happen all week, as much as i tried to put it to the back of my mind............

I believe that you can sense things but not make predictions, that such and such is going to happen. Does that make sense????:w::)

Sometimes we do get thoughts and they become true. Its a paranormal thing, i dont think anyone here will be able to answer for it. If you are more on spiritual side, it is very normal for you to experience such things =)

Syaikhul Ibn Q.Al Jauziyyah had socialised the word "Firasat," it is a hunch type of things and only Allahu Ta'ala who give this ability to every human beings.
He had written a book named "Al Firaasat."

Syaikhul Islam Ibn Taimiyyah had used this word too.

So it's quite normal, and it is needed for solving problems, but only when you are equipped with the knowledge in Din.

(jus like the tossng of a coin mayb ul get heads and mayb not) however...there is more detail to thd matter...1.superstition is not allowed in islam in the negative way howevr in the positive it is liked many examples r found in hadith...2.
