What can we do about the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and around the world?

Q. What is our stance concerning the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and other parts of the world that is happening right now, where houses are being destroyed, farms are being wrecked, children are being killed, the wounded are being detained in the streets, houses are being bombarded and people are being prevented by the Jews and others, from buying the food and drink that they need? What can I, as a Muslim, do?

A. Praise be to Allaah.

1- You have to make du’aa’, and recite du’a’ al-qunoot in your salaah (prayer).

2- Collect charity and send it through trustworthy channels.

3- Support the weak and oppressed in all ways, including the media and the internet.

4- Get scholars, daa’iyahs, khateebs and writers to explain the oppression that is happening and the negligence on the part of the ummah, and to mobilize the ummah to defend the holy places.

5- Check on one’s own intentions with regard to fighting for the sake of Allaah, and see whether he is applying the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Whoever dies without having fought for the sake of Allaah or having had the intention of doing so, has died following one of the branches of hypocrisy.” (Saheeh Muslim, no. 3533)

6- Pursuing all the means of building up material and moral strength, in preparation for meeting the enemy (in battle).

7- Reminding oneself and others of the virtues of martyrdom for the sake of Allaah and studying the rulings on jihad, and not having an attachment to this world.

8- Doing as much damage as possible to the enemies who are in a state of war with us, by boycotting their products, attacking them verbally and in writing to humiliate and annoy them, and to point out their kufr and shirk, and their insults to Allaah, His Messenger and the believers, publishing as much as possible in the audio-visual and print media about this serious topic whilst also connecting that to Islamic belief and the words of Allaah and His Messenger, We ask Allaah the Exalted and All-Powerful to support His religion and cause His word to prevail.

Some Advice Concerning Zionist Oppression in Palestine
By Shaikh Saalih bin Fawzaan al-Fawzaan
Translated Paltalk session by Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq

The Obligation to Assist with Wealth and Supplication

Earlier this evening [*] Shaykh Saalih ibn Fawzaan al-Fawzaan, via his open question-and-answer session on PalTalk, was asked about the position of a Muslim concerning what is happening now to our brothers and sisters in Palestine with respect to supplication, giving wealth or making jihad with them.

So he replied:

It is obligatory upon the Muslims to make supplication for their Muslim brothers and to assist them with wealth. To assist them with wealth and supplication, this is what is obligatory, and this is what will benefit them.

The shaykh was then asked, “May Allaah be benevolent to you. And this questioner says: What is the ruling pertaining to demonstrations, and are they considered to be from jihad in the path of Allaah?”

So the shaykh replied:

There is no benefit in demonstrations. Rather they are confusion. They are from confusion, disorder. And what harm will be done to the enemy if the people demonstrate on a street amongst the streets and raise their tongues?! Rather, this is from the matters on account of which the enemy actually rejoices, and so he says that he has harmed them and cause damage to them. So the enemy rejoices with this.

Islam is a religion of sanctity, and a religion of tranquillity, a religion based upon knowledge. It is not a religion of confusion and noise. It is a religion that aims to bring about tranquillity and sanctity, alongside the working of beneficial and praiseworthy deeds, such as aiding the Muslims and supplicating for them, and providing them with wealth and weapons[**]. This is praiseworthy, and also arguing for their case with the nations, so that the oppression can be raised from them.

And that the nations are asked, those who claim democracy for themselves, they should be asked to give those Muslims their right, and the right of a human is what they themselves boast about! However, in their view the human is the disbeliever, and as for the Muslim in their view, he is not a human but a terrorist. They call the Muslims “terrorists”. And the disbeliever is the one who has rights, in their view!

So it us upon the Muslims to traverse upon the manhaj of Islam in the likes of these affairs and other than them. Islam did not come with demonstrations and clangour, and raising of the voices, or destruction of the state properties, or transgression. All of this is not from Islam, it does not benefit, rather this harms the Muslims and does not harm the enemy. This harms the Muslims and does not harm their enemies. Rather their enemies rejoice with this, and he says, “I have affected them, I have made them angry, and I have affected them.”

Footnotes:

[*] This translation of a Paltalk session on Sunday 14th April 2002. Zionist soldiers and tanks and soldiers had recently besieged, plundered and invaded Palestine.

[**] The supply of weapons is a responsibility on Muslim governments.

Zionist Lies Exposed

This article exposes the disturbing lies that the state of Israel and the Zionists circulate to justify the occupation of the Palestinian people to the rest of the world. Israel is guilty of creating falsehoods in its history; many lies and myths have been created and through their repetition, religious misconception and justification, they have been promoted in order to justify the terrorist actions committed by the state of Israel for over 60 years.

It is important to highlight just some of these blatant lies which are damaging to Palestinians and their right to live a normal life. Moreover a cursory view of such fabrications will expose the Zionist racist ideology that has plagued the Palestinians for the last 60 years.

1. The FIRST lie: Palestine was an empty land

This curiously idyllic story, that the land referred to as Palestine was an empty, barren land; therefore making it quite a ‘painless’ process to ‘settle’ in. This implies that the Zionist ideology did not occupy but ‘settled’ into Palestine peacefully as it was empty. Here is a quote to reflect this belief:

“A land without a people for a people without a land” – Israel Zangwill

However the FACT is:

That humans, a population, a community, a people, did indeed exist and reside in Palestine before the Zionist’s occupied it illegally, making Palestine not such an empty plain field after all.

As Israel Zangwill stated in 1905 in a speech to a Zionist group in Manchester that:

"[Palestine is] already twice as thickly populated as the United States” Expulsion of the Palestinians, (pg. 10).

Here are some more evident quotes by, David Ben-Gurion - Prime Minister of Israel:

"We must expel Arabs and take their places." David Ben Gurion, 1937, Ben Gurion and the Palestine Arabs, Oxford University Press, 1985.

"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.

Let us talk data.

According to Justine McCarthy (pg. 26), an authority on the Ottoman Turks, Palestine's population in the early 19th century was 350,000, and in 1914 Palestine had a population of 657,000 Muslim Arabs, 81,000 Christian Arabs, and 59,000 Jews (including many European Jews from the first and second Aliyah).

Palestine was clearly not an empty field or a land waiting to be sown.

2. The SECOND lie: Zionism’s Claim of ‘Return’

This idea is essentially a claim that age old history grants a ‘return’ for all Jews in the world to one specific place. ‘The Zionists have historical and religious rights to the Holy Land.’

The History:There was a ‘Kingdom of Jewish people’ once where Israel now stands, and in its centre stood Mount Zion, Jerusalem and The Temple. But In 586 BCE, the Babylonians invaded and the Jews were sent into exile. It is here in ancient history that the longing to return to the Holy Land begins.

However the FACT is...

Does the Bible really give Jews an indefinite right to Palestine?

Does such a right to return, if it exists, include any and all Jews in the world?

Does that right, if it exists, exclude any other people regardless of their ancestry?

Is God exclusively the God of Jews or the God of every Human being without distinction?

Could God really promise to one only people a land and exclude all others?

Does God want to punish the innocent non-Jewish residents of Israel?

Is God a racist?

Of course not, Judaism forbids Israel to kill and terrorize innocent people.
It forbids them to drive people out of their homes and displace families.
It forbids them to physically and mentally traumatize a people.
It forbids them from bulldozing people’s houses and dehumanizing them.

Justifying horrific and barbaric acts, on the basis of long past historic/religious argument does not legitimatize a ‘claim’ of return to a long established country such as Palestine.

3. The THIRD lie…Zionism vs. Judaism

The racist concept - Zionism, and the religion - Judaism, are the same. Criticize any of the two and you are an anti-Semitic and intolerant individual.

However the FACT is...

That Zionism is completely different and indeed distinct from Judaism. The racist concept of Zionism is a nationalistic belief, using Judaism as a constant red herring, covering and shielding itself with the baseless accusation of ‘anti-Semitism’.

The founder of Zionism, Theodore Herzl himself was not even a religious person and here are some quotes from his diaries to reflect this fact:

‘… I do not obey a religious impulse…’ (Theodor Herzl: Diaries, Victor Gollanz, 1958)

‘… I am agnostic…’ (pg. 54 Theodor Herzl Diaries, passim)

‘… For me, the Jewish question is neither a social nor a religious one… it is a national question… Palestine is our unforgettable historical homeland… the very name would be a powerful rallying cry for our people.’

[Herzl, L’Etat Juif, p. 209]

So what is Zionism?

The Zionist movement was founded by Theodor Herzl in 1896, and its main goal is the concept of "transferring" European Jews into Palestine. Quite simply put.

But what makes Zionism bad?

It is the concept of "transferring" the Palestinian people OUT (in the most barbaric way possible) that is central to Zionism. Because of this racist ideology, traditional Jews do not support Zionism. The Zionist ideology is totally contrary to traditional Jewish law, beliefs and the teachings of the Holy Torah.

Zionism - not the religion of Judaism - is a racist, misguided and dangerous movement. Some of the greatest anti-Zionist campaigners are Jewish.

4. The FOURTH lie…The Palestinians Ran Away

Israel claims that in 1948 the Palestinians left their homes of their own accord and that the Arab leaders encouraged this via radio broadcasts.

1948 was the year of Israel establishment. So now that we have established that there were in fact Palestinian people who exist, they then apparently left their homes and fled for no good reason whatsoever, wherever, miraculously catering for the Zionist wish to ‘transfer’ them. They left because they were told to, well it all sounds quite peaceful enough.

However the FACT is...

The horrendous truth is that evidence was found that Zionist stations broadcasted in the Arabic language urging Palestinians to leave their homes, [The spectator, 12th May 1961]. Why would a mass of Palestinians just leave on the whim of any leader? Why leave your homeland?

The Palestinians fled because in 1948, the Zionists ensued a campaign of terror against the Palestinians: atrocities, ethnic cleansing and terrorizing the rest of the Palestinians into fleeing from their homes.

The massacre at the village of Deir Yassin on April 9 and 10, 1948, was the best documented. This was the blood-thirsty, violent killing of 250 people; men, women and children. Families were machine gunned and bayoneted.

In 1948 the Palestinian people were victims of ethnic cleansing by Zionists.

So If the Palestinians left of their own free will, why would the Zionists confiscate their homes, farms, and businesses? Why would they block their return to their homes? Or nullify their citizenship in the country they were born?

The Palestinians did not leave of their own ‘free’ will. They were ethnically cleansed.

5. The FIFTH lie…Palestine Occupies Israel

‘Israel’ is occupied by the Palestinian people. The Palestinian people are the ‘occupiers’ the ‘aggressors’, the ones who are ‘seizing’ the land from the Israelis. The Palestinians are the land grabbers.

This statement indicates that Israel existed in the first place, and that Palestine is the ‘occupier’, or the unknown country which is brewing trouble.

However the FACT is...

If you have not noticed this before, language in news reporting is of vital importance and is a tool of confusion for many people, even now, when talking about the nature of the conflict in Palestine and Israel. For example:

In the news the Palestinians and the Israelis are referred to as below:

The Palestinians are the ‘terrorists’ and ‘militants’. (Negative language)

The Israelis are the ‘authorities’ and ‘army’. (Positive language of officialdom)

A study conducted at Glasgow University in 2004, revealed that many Brits believed - based on the way the news is reported - that it was the Palestinians who were occupying Israel.

In 2006, one newspaper even reported that Israel was being occupied by Palestinians, revealing new depths in the level of the unawareness, ignorance and passivity to ‘Terror Acts’.

There is obviously no doubt that Israel is occupying Palestinian land. The United Nations Security Council, in Resolutions 446, 465 and 484, among others, resolved that the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza are occupied and that the Fourth Geneva Convention provisions regarding occupied territories apply.

Also the International Court of Justice in its decision on the ‘separation barrier’ruled that the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem are occupied - occupied by Israel. FACT.

The Palestinians do NOT ‘occupy’ Israel; on the contrary, Israel criminally occupies Palestine.

6. The SIXTH lie…Israel Accuses the Arabs

The Arabs started the 1967 war.

The 1967 war is referred to as ‘The Six Day War’ or the ‘Arab-Israeli War’, where Egypt, Syria and Jordan fought a war with Israel.

However the FACT is...

Here are some quotes that prove otherwise from Israeli prime minister and Israeli defence minister:

“The Egyptian Army concentrations in the Sinai approaches do not prove that Nasser was really about to attack us. We must be honest with ourselves. We decided to attack him”.
Menachem Begin, Israeli Prime Minister, June 1967

“We would send a tractor to plough some area where it wasn’t possible to do anything, in the demilitarized area, and knew in advance that the Syrians would start to shoot, if they didn’t shoot, we would tell the tractor to advance further, until in the end the Syrians would get annoyed and shoot. And then we would use artillery and later the air force also, and that’s how it was”
Moshe Dayan, Israeli Defence Minister during the 1967 war. The New York Times, May 11th, 1997

Arabs are not to blame for the 1967 war.

7. The SEVENTH lie…Zionism vs. Israel

Criticism of Israel or Zionism is deemed anti-Semitism. Criticizing a country because of its ‘faith’ in Zionism is wrong.

However the FACT is...

That anti-Zionism is overly equated with anti-Semitism for a very practical reason.

Its simple function is in making those people who criticize Israel and the actions it takes, (even if they are gross human rights abuses) to be easily and wrongly accused of being anti-Semitic. Anti Semitic being a term used best to describe hostility to ALL Jews collectively.

This simple conflation between the religion Judaism, that suffered greatly, and a movement as Zionism, that inflicts the same form of suffering on another people, is used and abused many times to mask the real agenda of Zionism.

The accusation of Anti-Semitism helps silence those that speak up for the Palestinians, and instills fear into others to prevent them from speaking out as well.

In reality, Anti-Zionism is the opposition to Zionism, which is an international political movement for the creation of an exclusively Jewish state in the land of Palestine. This in turn is a state that is discriminatory and racist towards all non-Jews, especially the native Palestinians, who are not all Muslims.

The reprimand of Israel as a country is not anti-Semitic

8. The EIGHT lie…Neighbours Threaten Israel’s Existence

Miniature Israel and its existence is in constant threat from the Arab countries that surround it. The implication is that all Arab’s or Muslims may well be anti-Semitic; therefore inhumane.

However the FACT is...

That the Arab Peace Initiative adopted by the Arab Summit in Beirut, 2002 states

The Arab nations are willing to fully recognise Israel if:-

* Israel honours her international obligations and returns to her June 4th, 1967 borders.
* Israel agrees to the UN Resolution to a just settlement on the issue of "Right of Return" of Palestinian refugees.
* Israel completes the UN Resolution 242 and 338 so that a viable Palestinian state consisting of East Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza can be created.

The Arabs here are being very generous as they are allowing Israel to keep illegally acquired territories from 1948 - 1967. In return they are offering full trade and peace agreements with Israel with no strings attached.

Unfortunately Israel has refused this peace initiative and many others with it.

Truth: Israel’s existence is NOT under attack by its neighbours.

In fact Israel’s military strength is vastly superior and far outweighs the Arabs and that Israel indeed has started wars against the Arabs.

There is no doubt over the fact that Israel can defeat all the Arab armies combined, and the disproportion of this power puts Israel at an advantage, especially after the 1st and 2nd Gulf Wars. Shockingly the Israeli army is ranked the 4th most powerful army in the world - helped by the obscene amount of military aid America gives to Israel each year.

9. The NINTH lie…Israel - Specialist in Democracy

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, where a political system in which the body of citizens elect people to represent them. This sounds fine, since surrounding Israel there is limited example of any other democratic countries, so Israel must surely be the only democratic country in the region.

However the FACT is...

That Israel is even worse than a dictatorship. It also is a racist one, by being selective in its people’s rights. The Jews shall experience democracy, the ‘other’ the non-Jew will be expelled or suffer in every sphere of existence.

When a "Jewish majority" was impossible to achieve based on Jewish immigration and natural growth, Zionists had concluded that forcible "population transfer" (i.e. ethnic cleansing) was the only solution to what they referred to as the "Arab Problem”. The entire state has been established to discriminate on the grounds of faith.

The concept of a "Jewish Majority" in Palestine is central for the realization of Zionism. This point was expressively stated by Ben-Gurion who stated in 1929:

"A Jewish majority is not Zionism's last station, but it is a very important station on the route to Zionism's political triumph. It will give our security and presence a sound foundation, and allow us to concentrate masses of Jews in this country and the region." (Shabtai Teveth, p. 103)

And another quote, Ben-Gurion said in November 1917:

"Within the next twenty years, we must have a Jewish majority in Palestine." (Shabtai Teveth, p. 43)

Israel and its prop-Zionism is definitely NOT a democracy.

10. The TENTH lie…Israel Does Not Practice Apartheid

Israel is against any form of apartheid.

However the FACT is...

Apartheid is an official policy of racial segregation that involves political, legal, and economic discrimination against another group. An example of Apartheid was practiced in the Republic of South Africa, against non-whites. On that definition Israel is extremely racist.

Israel does indeed practice racial segregation that involves political, legal, and economic discrimination against another group: the Palestinian people.

Israeli Government’s official position until the Yom Kippur War was to oppose apartheid in South Africa. However, because of Israel’s actions in the Yom Kippur War and international condemnation, the African nations in unison boycotted Israel.

Because of this boycott, Israel sought revenge by strengthening diplomatic, economic and military ties to the South African apartheid regime, and this relationship was so strong and intimate that South African Prime Minister John Vorster went to Israel on a state visit.

Further more the Israeli government failed to mention to the Israeli public that Vorster had been arrested during World War 2 as a Nazi sympathizer and a commander of the fascist Ossewabrandwag that sided with Hitler.

Israel's love of apartheid has continued to this very day. Their segregation laws that favour Jews over Arabs are taken from the South African apartheid system as is the creation of "Bantustans" destroying the possibility of Palestinian self-determination and statehood.

Israel does practice apartheid even to this day.

There are many other lies I wish to expose, but in the mean time I've just posted this. Please add to this with your own contribution of Zionist myths expositions so that it may become a means of debunking Israeli myths.
