I'm not sure what it's called when there is no "melody" to the Qur'an recitation, but I'm looking to obtain a verse by verse breakdown with no melody. This is so I can better learn to read the Qur'an and pronounce words properly.
I tried going to versebyversequran.com, but all of their stuff seems to have a melody in the recitation.
Anybody have any suggestions? I'm guessing there probably isn't an audio file of the whole Qur'an recited this way, since it's usually not common to hear it without a melody, but I would be happy with a few short Suras or a medium-length one.

The proper way to recite the Qur'an is with melody, and this may even help you to pronounce things properly. I think what you need is a slow and clear recitation such as those linked to above, not a complete absence of melody.
