As-Salaamu Alaikum, This past Saturday Masjid Rahmah had a lecture about family, and I must say the talk was beautiful and it was an excellent reminder. Some of the speakers was; Abu Muhammad and Shadeed Muhammad and there was also a telelink and they were discussing the different roles that each family member has, the father is the protector, and maintainer, the mother maintains her husbands house and safe guard his honor, and teach the children according to the Sunnah Of the Messenger of Allah Alayhis-Salaatu Was Salaam and that the husband is to be obeyed, he is the chief of that household. He also said that the parents shouldn't disagree with each other around the children, that when they disagree about somethingg it should only be between them that the children shouldn't know, see or hear about it. It was a beautiful lecture and I would encourage anyone that was not able to make it to the lecture to purchase the tapes.
