Is it haram to have a verse from the Quran as a ringtone on your cell phone? I was gonna do it but I heard some people say it is haram. So what do you guys think about that?
And how about listening to the Quran in the background. Like if I'm doing something else and I have the Quran playing, even in the car. Because I listen to the Quran a lot even when its not the only thing I'm doing and I've heard people say that this is not a good thing to do. But I'm still not sure, do any of you know the answer.

Well.. I don't know to be honest. But my opinion is that the Qur'an is meant to be read and understood, not to alert us to fone calls. How much do we hear it anyway before accepting a call? Silly really, if you think abt it.

But there is nothing wrong with listening to al-Qur'an while driving or doing something else as long as you aren't chattering away or not paying attention to Allah's speech.
