I would like to name my first baby girl by a sahabiya. I have found "Samaita Al-Laisa" in the list of sahabiya in a book. Could anybody make me sure that if there was any Sahabiya named "Samaita Al-Laisa"? Please also let me know the meaning the name.

I would really appreceiate your help.

Are you sure "Samaita Al-Laisa" was a Sahabiya ?
I didn't found that name in list of Sahabiya names.

i never heard this name before, so why not some easy goin name like zainab, faitma, aisha or khadija?

There are many other beautiful names, such as nusaybah or summayah - try reading about them inshallah. :D

First of all, Brother mabrook. U have Allah's rehmah in ur house :)
and how about the names, "Meryem" OR "Ayesha"...all the names of the sahabiyas and muslimahs are very beautiful masha allah, its just that I personally get an immense feeling of Purity by even calling these names. U know who these names refer to ...right?:)
