12 Week Structured [Arabic 100] Course
[Brothers & Sisters Welcome]

In this course you will learn vocabulary and basic grammar, all of this will be supplemented by reading, writing and speaking exercises.

The course teacher is a native Arabic speaker who qualified as a teacher in 1975. He completed his BA degree in Arabic in 1978, then went on to do his MA degree in Arabic literature which he completed in 1980. He worked as a teacher and headmaster in Jordan between 1975 and 1995. Since residing in the UK he has worked as an Imâm in Hastings then Eastbourne, after which he worked as a volunteer Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher in Doncaster Mosque. He is currently working as an Arabic Coordinator and Hifz Project Manager in an Islamic School.

About the Course:

Arabic Course for English Speaking Students: Madînah Islâmic University Book 1

Objectives:

- To learn how to read, write and speak Arabic sentences covering every day situations.
- To learn how to build sentences according to Arabic grammar rules.
- To learn how to make conversation in Arabic.
- To learn how to describe different situation in Arabic

Expected Outcome:

The students will be able to:

- Read and write Arabic text.
- Speak about daily life situations in Arabic in a proper way.
- Hold basic conversations with others in Arabic
- Write proper Arabic descriptions of different situations.

Teaching Method:

The teaching method will be the interactive method. The teacher will use Madînah Arabic Book 1 plus different handouts sheets to practice what the students learn in the course. In every session there will be reading, writing and speaking. The students will be directed to certain web sites to enrich their learning and will also be required to do their homework in order to implement what they learned in the class.
