Since the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) could neither read nor write, he memorized the Qur'an by ear and later recite it to his companions, who also memorized it and they wrote down the revelations immediately on branches of date trees, other wood, leaves, leather and even bones of animals. Do you mean when was the Qur'an first compiled and writen into bookform ?
During the third caliph - Uthman ibn Affan (r.a) - period.

You're probably already aware that the Qur'an was memorised letter for letter by the companions, some who had memorised it entirely during the life of Prophet Muhammad [who himself knew it all off memory.]

They would write it and compile it on leaves, camel bones, animal skins etc.


The first successor of Prophet Muhammad, Abu Bakr gathered all these pieces into the Mushaf of Hafsa (since she [the daughter of another companion - Umar] kept it in her house for safekeeping.)

Then during the third succession after Prophet Muhammad, his well known companion Uthman ibn Affan compiled it into a book format - so all of it was gathered in one book form.

The historical credibility of the Quran is further established by the fact that one of the copies sent out by the Caliph Uthman is still in existence today. It lies in the Museum of the City of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Central Asia.[11] According to Memory of the World Program, UNESCO, an arm of the United Nations, ‘it is the definitive version, known as the Mushaf of Uthman.’[12]

A facsimile of the mushaf in Tashkent is available at the Columbia University Library in the US.[13] This copy is proof that the text of the Quran we have in circulation today is identical with that of the time of the Prophet and his companions.
