Daubit-Blog developed an intressting application. It shows the direction to Mecca. It is based on GPS and compass-data. This is no fake!!! I Think is could be usefull for muslim people who travel around the world.

the iphone has this compass app that automatically points north whichever way you turn, pretty amazing, so I was pretty sure they'd make an app for the qiblah direction using that feature

Sorry, but i think this is impossible because the IPod Touch dont support gps and compass.

does the iphone use assisted gps, so do you need to be connected to internet to get direction?

Islamic Compass i found as well and buy it via iTunes.
Nice that they suport the mosque with it!
