i know polygamy is very prominent in Arab culture, but im wondering, what other culture (if any) also practices polygamy...what other culture is this practice common in? muslim and non-muslim alike.

i know polygamy is very prominent in Arab culture

Is it? I would think the opposite, that it's very rare indeed- I've only heard of 2 or 3 polygamous (arab) men in my life.

If you want, you can also consider the concubines in different cultures. Not 'official' wives, but still slightly more rights than a mistress.

Apparently it happens in Canada.

And in the US it is practiced by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - an off-shot of the Mormons.

Indonesia.

But polygami in Indonesia is only for the brave husband who doesn't affraid to his wife.
And for the rich husband who affraid to his wife,..........I think you can guess. :D

The african culture here in SA used to practice polygamy, but not so much now.
